The woman, who was wounded in her left arm and upper back, was hospitalized.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe man was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. He was later identified by the Medical Examiner\u2019s Office as 31-year-old Tristian Hamilton, also known as FBG Cash,\u201d CBS News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/chicago\/news\/man-killed-woman-seriously-injured-after-shooting-in-gresham\/?taid=62a386bcb64e860001a96071&#038;utm_campaign=trueAnthem%3A+Trending+Content&#038;utm_medium=trueAnthem&#038;utm_source=twitter\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The shooter is believed to have been driving a black sedan and seemingly escaped the scene unscathed. Police are still investigating and have no one in custody yet. Police say the shooting happened shortly after 5:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Hamilton was a <a href=\"https:\/\/abc7chicago.com\/chicago-shooting-man-shot-and-killed-auburn-gresham-crime\/11944765\/\">member<\/a> of the \u201cFly Boy Gang,\u201d which has seen violence impact its ranks before.<\/p>\n<p>CBS noted that \u201canother member of the rap group \u2014 known as \u2018Fly Boy Gang\u2019 \u2014 FBG Duck, whose real name is Carlton Weekly, was shot and killed on Oak Street near the Magnificent Mile,\u201d in 2020. Hamilton responded to some questions about any connection to Weekly\u2019s death, saying suspicions stemmed from a \u201ccrazy internet rumor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last year, police arrested Hamilton, charging him with being an armed habitual criminal, felony possession of a weapon, and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon according to ABC7 Chicago. These charges were later dismissed.<\/p>\n<p>At least eight other people <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcchicago.com\/news\/local\/eight-people-hurt-in-2-mass-shootings-hours-apart-in-chicago\/2852957\/\">were<\/a> also shot in two separate shootings in Chicago this week, including a 14-year-old boy. One shooting took place at the Altgeld Gardens public housing project, while another took place on the West Side.<\/p>\n<p>There were four victims at the shooting at the courtyard of the public housing project, including the 14-year-old.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe teen was taken to Comer Children\u2019s Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound to the arm, police said. A 24-year-old man who was shot in the face and a 45-year-old woman who suffered a graze wound to the chest both were hospitalized in good condition. A fourth victim was shot in the arm,\u201d the Associated Press reported.<\/p>\n<p>Four other people were shot while standing on a West Side sidewalk, including a 43-year-old woman, a 30-year-old woman, a 27-year-old man, and a 26-year-old man. Both women were reportedly in serious condition.<\/p>\n<p>Last weekend also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/chicago\/news\/weekend-shootings-june-3-to-june-6\/\">saw<\/a> five people killed and at least 28 wounded in shootings across the Windy City.
