And that was a really good way to get to know each other,\u201d she said at the time. \u201cIt was a bit old-school in that sense \u2014 very romantic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think going through the process of finding more self-worth, I think that what you want in a partner is elevated and so it\u2019s great to have someone who feels like an equal partner and be in a healthy relationship,\u201d Wilson continued.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere were times \u2014 I\u2019m not saying with all my exes, they\u2019re great \u2014 but there were some times that I was probably putting up with that I shouldn\u2019t have. So it feels different to be in a really healthy relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Wilson dated Jacob Busch from the beer brewing company Anheuser-Busch. They were together officially for four months before breaking up in January 2021.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Australian-born actress made headlines recently for her dramatic weight loss. She said it was partly inspired because of her desire to become a mother. The \u201cSenior Year\u201d actress recalled visiting a fertility doctor in 2019 and being advised to lose weight if she wanted the best chance at success for future procedures.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe looked me up and down and said, \u2018You\u2019d do much better if you were healthier,&#8217;\u201d Wilson told <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/health\/rebel-wilson-desire-to-become-mom-spurred-health-transformation-exclusive\/\">People<\/a> earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was taken aback. I thought, \u2018Oh God, this guy\u2019s so rude.\u2019 He was right. I was carrying around a lot of excess weight. It\u2019s almost like I didn\u2019t think of my own needs. I thought of a future child\u2019s needs that really inspired me to get healthier.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She also discussed what it was like being a face of the \u201cbody positivity\u201d movement while lacking confidence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFat Amy was probably the most favorite character I\u2019ve ever played,\u201d she told the publication. \u201cI loved representing and I was so confident. But at the same time, I did feel at times insecure. Sometimes it\u2019s hard doing a photo shoot next to your fellow actress and she\u2019s a third of the size of you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was invisible in a way even when I was an international movie star,\u201d she continued. \u201cAnd then suddenly to have people want to carry your groceries, do nice things for you purely because of how you look, it\u2019s interesting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wilson admitted it\u2019s tricky to find a balance between not shaming overweight people while still trying to avoid encouraging unhealthy behavior.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know what it\u2019s like to be on the other side of that coin,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd now I know what\u2019s it\u2019s like to get attention in the positive. There is a societal bias towards what society deems as good-looking. It\u2019s not right. It sucks, it\u2019s unfair. I feel sad if somebody doesn\u2019t love the body they\u2019re in.
