Footage of the water pouring in started making the rounds on social media.<\/p>\n<p>The Columbia, Maryland, show was delayed from the original 7 p.m. start time, The New York Post <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/06\/09\/halsey-fans-drenched-as-maryland-show-floods-gets-canceled\/\">reported<\/a>, as organizers believed the storm would pass through quickly. Fans gathered waiting for the \u201cWithout Me\u201d singer to come on, but eventually, the entire event was nixed due to safety concerns.<\/p>\n<p>Videos on social media showed water pouring down the bleachers to the front of the stage in the Merriweather Post Pavilion. Someone captured a stage crew member kicking a rodent off the stage, which some fans first identified as a rat but was later said to be a squirrel. Halsey went live on Instagram saying the storm was \u201csupposed to pass.\u201d But, some \u201cunpredictable\u201d weather immediately became dangerous.<\/p>\n<p>She said, \u201cI just want everybody to be safe\u201d and \u201cI\u2019m literally heartbroken.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Halsey also addressed the cancellation later on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/halsey\/status\/1534722030901370881\">Twitter<\/a>. \u201cMaryland I don\u2019t even know what to say,\u201d she shared. \u201cIf you missed my live, I\u2019ll post something soon explaining what happened. But right now I\u2019m heartbroken and panicked and I just want to know when\/that you all get home safely. I love you guys more than anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a follow-up post, the 27-year-old shared, \u201cI really want to add that I am beyond disappointed with the way the venue handled everything tonight and my rescheduled date will be happening somewhere else. I hear you guys loud and clear I promise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Halsey is currently on tour as part of her Love and Power Tour, which she announced in January. The tour began in mid-May and will make stops throughout the United States before concluding in July.
