The Napa County Sheriff\u2019s office did respond to an inquiry but directed us back to the DA\u2019s office since the department does not prosecute cases.<\/p>\n<p>We will update this report with any additional information as it comes in.<\/p>\n<p>The only information available, thus far, has been reporting from Edmund DeMarche, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snopes.com\/news\/2022\/06\/08\/paul-pelosi-dui-charges-dropped\/\">cited<\/a> by Left-wing \u201cfact-checking\u201d site Snopes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNapa DA\u2019s office just told the Trends Journal that Paul Pelosi\u2019s DUI charge is \u2018under review,&#8217;\u201d DeMarche reported on Wednesday. \u201cReports that they were dropped are false.\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Napa DA\u2019s office just told the Trends Journal that Paul Pelosi\u2019s DUI charge is \u2018under review.\u2019 Reports that they were dropped are false.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Edmund DeMarche (@EDeMarche) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EDeMarche\/status\/1534644119493935104?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 8, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Paul was arrested and charged on May 29, reports said. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/new-details-emerge-from-incident-that-led-to-the-arrest-of-nancy-pelosis-husband\">According<\/a> to the Associated Press, the 82-year-old was \u201cdriving a 2021 Porsche into an intersection near the town of Yountville and was hit by a 2014 Jeep.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There were no reported injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The speaker refused to comment on the matter, except to tell the press she wouldn\u2019t be commenting. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Speaker will\u00a0not\u00a0be\u00a0commenting on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast,\u201d spokesman Drew Hammill <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/new-details-emerge-from-incident-that-led-to-the-arrest-of-nancy-pelosis-husband\">said<\/a> at the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Paul, though, has responded via an attorney, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/attorney-for-pelosis-husband-releases-statement-untrue-incorrect-reports-made-about-arrest-incident\">The Daily Wire<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeveral news reports about Saturday night\u2019s traffic incident involving Paul Pelosi have included incorrect information,\u201d the attorney said via a statement. \u201cMr. Pelosi was attending a dinner party at the home of friends near Oakville.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe left that party at 10:15 PM Saturday, to drive to his home a short distance away.
