On Friday, the digital currency\u2019s market value rose above $1 trillion for the first time ever. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2021-02-19\/bitcoin-nears-1-trillion-value-as-crypto-jump-tops-other-assets\">reports<\/a>, the value of a single bitcoin surpassed $56,000.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CoinMarketCap?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@CoinMarketCap<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bitcoin?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Bitcoin<\/a>&#8216;s fully diluted market cap just broke $1 Trillion! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/TOmuTFRLvA\">pic.twitter.com\/TOmuTFRLvA<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Binance (@binance) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/binance\/status\/1360226122714279943?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 12, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Bitcoin rose about 350 percent over the last six months as digital currencies became more mainstream. In early February, for example, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bnymellon.com\/\">Bank of New York Mellon<\/a> \u2014 the oldest bank in the United States \u2014 announced that it would move into the digital currency space. Tesla also recently announced that it will begin to take Bitcoin payments for its products.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Tesla\u2019s action is not directly reflective of my opinion.
