Roske told police he planned to kill Kavanaugh in an attempt to prevent him ruling on abortion and Second Amendment cases.<\/p>\n<p>His arrest put\u00a0Schumer\u2019s warning in chilling relief, prompting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/cruz-top-republicans-blame-kavanaughs-would-be-assassin-on-democrats-incendiary-rhetoric-on-roe\">Republicans to accuse<\/a> Schumer and activists of endangering the justices through \u201cincendiary rhetoric on <em>Roe<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to tell you, Gorsuch,\u201d Schumer threatened the justices in March 2020, \u201cand I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price.\u00a0You won\u2019t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Judicial Crisis Network\u2019s Carrie Severino called his comment \u201ca call to action.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSenate Democrats, led by Senator Schumer, have waged a campaign for years to undermine and intimidate the Court,\u201d she told The Daily Wire on Wednesday evening. \u201cSchumer\u2019s outrageous threat to Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh\u2014on the steps of the Court after the <em>June Medical<\/em> decision no less\u2014was a call to action.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Schumer was speaking in reference to the Supreme Court case <em>June Medical Services v. Russo, <\/em>an abortion case in which the\u00a0court\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/06\/29\/scotus-strikes-down-louisiana-abortion-restrictions\/\">ultimately ruled<\/a>\u00a0with abortion advocates. His threats\u00a0prompted a rare rebuke from Chief Justice John Roberts, who\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/03\/04\/supreme-court-john-roberts-chuck-schumer-dangerous-threatening-abortion\/?page=9\">called<\/a>\u00a0the remarks both \u201cinappropriate\u201d and \u201cdangerous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The senate majority leader did not respond to requests for comment from The Daily Wire. In early May, he said that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cspan\/status\/1524098988827418628\">he supports<\/a> protesting outside the justices\u2019 homes \u201cif\u00a0protests are peaceful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As of Wednesday evening, Schumer and many major top Democrats had not weighed in on or condemned the would-be assassin.<\/p>\n<p>Not all \u2014 Nancy Pelosi\u2019s Deputy Chief of Staff Drew Hammill told The Daily Wire late Wednesday afternoon that the Speaker of the House \u201cbelieves that violence against public officials has no place in civilized society\u201d and that Pelosi \u201ccondemns this abhorrent criminal act.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And though President Joe Biden did not issue a statement himself, his deputy press secretary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/white-house-condemns-violence-following-arrest-of-armed-man-near-kavanaughs-house\">told The Daily Wire on Wednesday morning<\/a> that Biden\u00a0\u201ccondemns the actions\u00a0of this individual in the strongest terms, and is grateful to law enforcement for quickly taking him into custody.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pressed to provide a statement from Biden himself, White House Assistant Press Secretary\u00a0Alexandra LaManna told The Daily Wire on Wednesday evening, \u201cViolence and destruction of property have no place in our country under any circumstances, and the President denounces this action.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe should all agree that actions like this are completely unacceptable regardless of our politics,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Since the infamous leak of the draft <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> decision, pro-abortion activists have escalated both rhetoric and protesting surrounding the issue: a slew of pro-life clinics and pregnancy centers have been firebombed, vandalized, or attacked, protestors make weekly visits to loudly demonstrate at the homes of the Supreme Court justices, and swelling crowds have protested outside of the Supreme Court itself.<\/p>\n<p>These crowds <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MaryMargOlohan\/status\/1523823694023380994?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">have a message<\/a>: \u201cabort the court.\u201d That\u2019s a sentiment <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/smear-campaign-leftist-activists-seek-to-intimidate-justices-control-the-court-experts-say\">pushed for years<\/a> by Demand Justice, a progressive group backed by dark money mother-ship Arabella Advisers, in a years-long campaign to intimidate, threaten, and smear the reputations of Supreme Court justices, conservative-leaning experts have told The Daily Wire.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf we don\u2019t get it, tear it down,\u201d protestors chanted into the wee hours of the night outside the Supreme Court following the leak. \u201cLets make a deal,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MaryMargOlohan\/status\/1521462443658129408\/photo\/3\">read a female protestor\u2019s sign<\/a>, held high above her head with a hanger. \u201cFor every woman who dies from this, one of you goes too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Pro-abortion protestors: \u201cIf we don\u2019t get it TEAR IT DOWN\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/wJAtVZWekm\">pic.twitter.com\/wJAtVZWekm<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Mary Margaret Olohan (@MaryMargOlohan) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MaryMargOlohan\/status\/1521350941521416197?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 3, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Other Democratic lawmakers have repeatedly called for increased protesting following the draft opinion leak, though none have apparently issued so strong a threat as Schumer\u2019s. Their language calls for increased action, ordering activists to \u201cfight like hell\u201d and to protest in the streets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProtect abortion rights by any means necessary,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CoriBush\/status\/1521468078755876867\">said<\/a> Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO).\u00a0Democratic Washington Rep. Pramila Jayapal <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepJayapal\/status\/1521318714188120064?s=20&#038;t=g595UDeb824fvmDt0Vct5Q\">called<\/a>\u00a0for \u201cpeople\u201d to \u201ctake to the streets across the country.\u201d Democratic New York Sen. Kristen Gillibrand <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenGillibrand\/status\/1521514323784437760\">ordered<\/a>\u00a0activists to \u201cfight like hell to preserve our fundamental human rights.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet\u2019s be clear: this is not final and the far-right Supreme Court majority will not have the last word,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TammyDuckworth\/status\/1521325251422003200\">tweeted<\/a> Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) following the leak. \u201cThe American people will. Tonight, it\u2019s important we get loud, organize and demand action from the Senate. Retweet if you agree it\u2019s time to protect <em>Roe v.
