Ted Cruz said Wednesday. \u201cSchumer threatened: \u2018You have released the whirlwind &#038; you will pay the price!\u2019 Now a would-be assassin went to the home of a Supreme Court Justice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBiden and the Dems need to stop their irresponsible and incendiary rhetoric on Roe and condemn the violence coming from their supporters,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The senator\u2019s remarks about Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer refer Schumer\u2019s comments made at a\u00a0rally in front of the United States Supreme Court where justices were hearing an abortion case (the\u00a0court <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/06\/29\/scotus-strikes-down-louisiana-abortion-restrictions\/\">ultimately ruled<\/a> with abortion advocates in <em>June Medical Services v. Russo<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Schumer\u00a0threatened both Kavanaugh and Gorsuch over potentially ruling against abortion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to tell you Gorsuch,\u201d Schumer warned, \u201cand I want to tell you Kavanaugh. House Democrats need to stop their blockade and pass this uncontroversial bill today. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/wd8UB5RDvm\">pic.twitter.com\/wd8UB5RDvm<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Leader McConnell (@LeaderMcConnell) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LeaderMcConnell\/status\/1534552571943211009?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 8, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Supreme Court Public Information Officer\u00a0Patricia McCabe confirmed to The Daily Wire on Wednesday morning that \u201cat approximately 1:50 a.m. today, a man was arrested near Justice Kavanaugh\u2019s residence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe man was armed and made threats against Justice Kavanaugh,\u201d she said. \u201cHe was transported to Montgomery County Police 2nd\u00a0District.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That individual was an adult male from California, who was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Police Station after officers received a call at 1:40 am in the area of Kavanaugh\u2019s chevy chase home, the Montgomery County Police Department told The Daily Wire on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The case has now been handed over to the FBI, the spokeswoman said, and the Montgomery Police Department is not able to comment on whether or not he had a weapon.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">New: Here&#8217;s the unsealed arrest affidavit for Nicholas Roske \u2014 the man arrested near Justice Kavanaugh&#8217;s home. Wade. Pro-abortion protesters and some Democratic lawmakers have deemed the court as \u201cillegitimate\u201d in anticipation of the ruling in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/supct\/cert\/19-1392\">Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The case is a challenge to a Mississippi law greatly restricting the federal right to abortion granted by the landmark 1973 <em>Roe<\/em>\u00a0decision. Justice Samuel Alito wrote that\u00a0<em>Roe<\/em>\u00a0and a subsequent case,\u00a0<em>Planned Parenthood v. Casey<\/em>, which upheld\u00a0<em>Roe<\/em>, both must be overturned, and the right to allow, deny, or restrict the right to an abortion must reside with states.<\/p>\n<p data-testid=\"paragraph-0\">\u201c<em>Roe<\/em>\u00a0was egregiously wrong from the start,\u201d the 98-page opinion states. \u201cWe hold that\u00a0<em>Roe<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Casey<\/em>\u00a0must be overruled. The Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-testid=\"paragraph-0\">Protests have taken place outside the homes of the five Supreme Court justices who signed onto Alito\u2019s draft opinion, which would overturn the landmark 1973 decision that made the right to abortion a constitutional right.
