Wade<\/em> overturned. He also said he was upset about \u201cthe recent school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last month, a February draft opinion in the case of <em>Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization <\/em>overturning the five-decade precedent established by <em>Roe v. Wade <\/em>was leaked to Politico in an apparent <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/05\/03\/the-only-reason-to-leak-that-scotus-opinion-is-to-bully-justices-into-submission\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">effort to intimidate<\/a> justices.<\/p>\n<p>On CNN, however, Law Enforcement Correspondent Whitney Wild blamed conservatives for the political climate leading to the threatened assassination of a Supreme Court justice over an opinion which, if handed down, would mark a milestone achievement of the conservative movement. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is an extremely passionate issue,\u201d Wild said. \u201cThere are emotions on both sides. Federal officials have made clear over and over they believe the risk truly comes from both sides of this abortion debate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The tense environment, Wild said, in a routine episode of both-sides-ism on political violence when the culprit is a leftist, \u201cputs these Supreme Court justices, their staffs, and other members of this judiciary, especially the Supreme Court, at risk.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"HsjZmDh3v66RAWddcyJoGgAkwfL8csb1rO1D20IU5KTMBfQHFpzM9PezgeiNOYh7E42pmwoKtGlUEPCbn5JarNtQZv70XIFxyTBV\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">CNN&#8217;s Whitney Wild tries to deny that the man arrested trying to assassinate Justice Kavanaugh had a weapon &#8220;at all.&#8221;<br \/>She also tries to blame right-wing extremists for possibly trying to carry out the hit, claiming &#8220;the risk truly comes from both sides of this abortion debate&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/fFYKYTA46G\">pic.twitter.com\/fFYKYTA46G<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NickFondacaro\/status\/1534558919896584192?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 8, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/crime\/armed-man-arrested-outside-brett-kavanaughs-house-wanted-to-kill-justice-over-potential-roe-v-wade-reversal-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">According<\/a> to the Washington Examiner, the investigation into the individual who was arrested at Kavanaugh\u2019s home was transferred to the FBI. <\/p>\n<p>Since the draft decision in the <em>Dobbs <\/em>case was leaked, Supreme Court justices have required <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/supreme-court-justices-security-roe-v-wade-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">beefed up security<\/a> in response to escalating threats against them and their families. Originalist members of the high bench have faced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/dc-md-va\/2022\/05\/10\/youngkin-alito-protests-virginia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">picketing<\/a> outside their homes after their addresses were <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/08\/left-wing-group-that-doxxed-scotus-justices-home-addresses-downplays-death-threat-against-kavanaugh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">published<\/a> online by left-wing activists. The demonstrations were endorsed by the nation\u2019s most powerful Democrat lawmakers, President <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/opinion\/judiciary\/3483790-biden-encourages-people-to-violate-the-law-by-protesting-at-justices-homes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Joe Biden<\/a>, and Senate Majority Leader <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cspan\/status\/1524098988827418628\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chuck Schumer<\/a> in blatant intimidation. <\/p>\n<p>Biden and Schumer are far from the only power players on the left to foment hysteria surrounding abortion.<\/p>\n<p>California Congressman Eric Swalwell <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ericswalwell\/status\/1521535989805731845?s=20&#038;t=F0WJasQUklVFB52T1e4ebg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told<\/a> followers to \u201cfight like your lives depend on it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause they do,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n<p>Missouri Congresswoman Cori Bush <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CoriBush\/status\/1521468078755876867?s=20&#038;t=UYC9k-qJ5rr1_tBBDSEffQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a> on Twitter that Democrats needed to \u201cprotect abortion rights by any means necessary.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is an emergency,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenGillibrand\/status\/1521514323784437760?s=20&#038;t=S8pbSBUwkVvyAXz9lAwfqw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">urged<\/a> followers on Twitter to \u201cfight like hell\u201d to save abortion more than a year after she <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/02\/13\/senate-acquits-trump-for-second-time-one-year-after-first-pointless-impeachment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">voted<\/a> in favor of President Donald Trump\u2019s conviction over identical language. <\/p>\n<p>Churches and pro-life pregnancy centers have already suffered multiple fire bombings by pro-abortion radicals since the draft opinion was leaked.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/pro-life-pregnancy-firebombed-left-wing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">launched<\/a> an arson investigation in New York after a Buffalo pregnancy center was set ablaze by individuals who graffitied \u201cJane Was Here.\u201d The words refer to the abortion terrorist organization Jane\u2019s Revenge.<\/p>\n<p>In mid-May, Wisconsin Republican Sen. Ron Johnson <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/05\/13\/exclusive-ron-johnson-demands-federal-law-enforcement-address-terrorist-attacks-on-pro-life-groups\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">demanded<\/a> federal law enforcement draft plans to protect pro-life groups from domestic threats after one such group was hit with a Molotov cocktail in Madison. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn 2020, extremists exploited demonstrations across the country to incite riots that resulted in the loss of life, more than 2,000 injuries to law enforcement officers, and over $1 billion in property damage,\u201d Johnson wrote in the May 13 letter as activists descended on justices\u2019 homes. \u201cThere are currently mobs outside of the residences of the Supreme Court Justices appointed by Presidents George W. Bush and Donald Trump \u2026 and, once again, DOJ, FBI, and DHS have yet to condemn these activities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Johnson gave Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas until May 27 to respond. Johnson Spokeswoman Alexa Henning told The Federalist on Wednesday, however, \u201cwe have not yet received a substantive response to our letter to DHS, FBI, or DOJ on designating Jane\u2019s Revenge a domestic terrorism group, investigating the Madison attack, and protecting pro-life organizations.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<p>\n  Tristan Justice is the western correspondent for The Federalist.
