The 75 prosecutors, which include those in Dallas, San Antonio, New York City, Austin, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and more, represent over one-in-five people, or more than 72 million Americans, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.policedefense.org\/leldf-justice-for-sale\/\">according<\/a> to the report. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/27\/world-economic-forum-davos-climate-change-private-jets\/\">(RELATED: <\/a><\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/27\/world-economic-forum-davos-climate-change-private-jets\/\">Just How Much CO2 Did Woke Elites Spew Flying Private Jets To Davos?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn most of these free spending contests, progressive forces proved victorious by either defeating incumbent Democrats or crushing a field of primary contenders,\u201d the report says. \u201cStrikingly, most of these prosecutors were political neophytes and had zero prosecutorial experience \u2013 previously an assumed prerequisite for office. Many have no previous criminal case experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The report defines \u201csocial justice\u201d prosecutors as those who \u201cpursue radical\u201d policies when elected. This includes eliminating cash bail, dismissing felony cases and seeking lenient sentences for criminals.<\/p>\n<p>Karin Sweigart, a lawyer at Dhillon Law Group who specializes in nonprofit and election law, told The Daily Caller News Foundation the \u201cpoliticization\u201d of public service is a \u201creal problem.\u201d She called it a \u201ctrickle-down effect.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you don\u2019t have qualified people and those who are committed to public service, it\u2019s no longer seen as a service to the community,\u201d Sweigart said. \u201cThen it impacts policing as a whole. This includes The Tides Center, Fair and Just Prosecution, Brennan Center, Safety and Justice and the Vera Institute for Justice,\u00a0according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>The report explains the \u201cconsequences\u201d of the Soros-backed candidates getting elected, including examples of murder cases being dismissed or lenient sentencing in major Democrat-run cities. The increase in the jurisdictions of these prosecutors predates the nationwide crime spike in 2020, the report says.<\/p>\n<p>Soros spent $13 million from 2018 to 2021 on 10 district attorney races, according to the report. Some of the candidates he backed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cookcountystatesattorney.org\/about\/kimberly-foxx\">include<\/a> Kim Foxx in Cook County, Illinois, Kimberly <a href=\"https:\/\/missouriindependent.com\/2022\/04\/11\/kim-gardner-unlikely-to-face-discipline-over-claims-stemming-from-eric-greitens-probe\/\">Gardner<\/a> in St. Louis, and Buta <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/butabiberaj\/\">Biberaj<\/a> in Loudoun County, Virginia, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>Biberaj, who the report says raked in $922,000 from Soros, took steps to try and place a father in Loudoun County in jail after his daughter claimed she was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/loudoun-county-schools-tried-to-conceal-sexual-assault-against-daughter-in-bathroom-father-says\">sexually assaulted<\/a> in a girl\u2019s bathroom by a boy wearing a skirt.<\/p>\n<p>Crime rates have ballooned in places Soros helped get prosecutors elected. In Los Angeles, where the report says the billionaire spent $4.7 million through the California and Justice and Public Safety political action committee to get George Gascon elected in 2020, homicides hit 397 in 2021 \u2014 a 50% increase from 2019 \u2014 The Los Angeles Times <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/NZ6jO\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Philadelphia, where Soros helped get district attorney Larry Krasner elected by funneling $1.3 million to two organizations, according to the report, had the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/local\/philadelphia\/2022\/01\/10\/philadelphia-record-homicides-2021-police\">deadliest<\/a> year on record in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Those who received campaign support from Soros-funded or affiliated groups are included in the LELDF\u2019s report, as well as those who also participated in sponsored programming by Soros groups.
