Now, many are weighing whether to keep their landscaping services \u2013 or whether it\u2019s even tenable to start using a service.<\/p>\n<p>Landscaping companies have had to jack up prices because of increased costs for things like fuel and equipment, the Wall Street Journal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/inflation-hits-lawn-care-so-americans-get-their-mowers-out-11654645342\">reported<\/a> Wednesday. The newspaper noted that as of May, lawn mowing is up 22.4% compared to the same time period last year.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, the price for external pressure-washing is up 20% and the cost to have a company trim trees has risen 9.1%, the WSJ wrote, citing Angi Inc. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/24\/new-home-sales-plummet-recession-fears\/\">(RELATED:\u00a0New Home Sales Plummet, Sparking Recession Fears)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The debacle isn\u2019t just affecting Americans who normally rely on landscaping services. Inflation is also hitting the landscaping companies themselves. REUTERS\/Jonathan Ernst<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"Paragraph-sc-u5wzz1-0 cStoSw\" data-type=\"paragraph\">\u201cIf it weren\u2019t for the loans, we\u2019d be homeless right now,\u201d Jaime Coronado, who owns the Texas-based \u201cGrounds Guys of Cinco Ranch\u201d company, told the WSJ. \u201cEven then, we work 80 hours a week just trying to figure out how to make this company break even.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>President Joe Biden continues to say that fighting inflation is his \u201ctop economic priority.\u201d In remarks on June 3, the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/03\/joe-biden-downplays-recession-fears-may-jobs-report\/\">president<\/a> tried to calm fears of a possible recession, telling the country that \u201cthere\u2019s every reason for the American people to feel confident that we\u2019ll meet these challenges.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Still, the administration has faced widespread criticism for <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/12\/flashback-joe-biden-administration-inflation-temporary\/\">consistently<\/a> downplaying the threat of inflation throughout parts of 2021. At the time, multiple officials maintained that inflation was \u201ctransitory\u201d and \u201ctemporary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While those terms have been cast aside in recent months, the Biden administration\u00a0continues to blame things like\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/30\/gas-prices-hit-another-record-high\/\">increased<\/a> gas prices and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/16\/economy-farmers-inflation-grocery-bill-skyrocket-supply-chain\/\">grocery<\/a> store costs on Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine and the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Americans are already feeling inflation through their grocery bills, gas prices, travel, rent and more.
