Debbie Stabenow said Tuesday during a congressional hearing that gas prices don\u2019t matter to her because she drives an electric vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn the issue of gas prices- after waiting for a long time to have enough chips in this country to finally get my electric vehicle- I got it and drove it from Michigan to here this last weekend and went by every gas station and it didn\u2019t matter how high it was,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.c-span.org\/video\/?520724-1\/treasury-secretary-yellen-testifies-presidents-2023-budget\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Stabenow said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Sen. The median household income in Michigan is slightly more, coming in at just $59,234, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.census.gov\/quickfacts\/fact\/table\/MI\/INC110220\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">U.S. Census Bureau<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Stabenow\u2019s comments drew criticism from fellow Congressional member Republican Florida Rep.
