The image is based on her White House portrait painted by Aaron Shikler.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNancy Reagan served the American people with grace. She understood that the role of first lady came with inherent pitfalls and scrutiny,\u201d Biden said, presenting the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/28\/spain-postal-service-equality-stamps-racism-george-floyd-skin-colors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">stamp<\/a> at the White House.<\/p>\n<p>The postage stamp seeks to commemorate \u201cthe very best of America, and Nancy Regan truly represents that ideal. Mrs. Regan will be the sixth first lady honored with a U.S. postage stamp,\u201d Postmaster General Louis DeJoy said.<\/p>\n<p>She joins just five other first ladies to be on stamps \u2014 Martha Washington, Abigail Adams, Dolly Madison, Eleanor Roosevelt and Lady Bird Johnson.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>\u201cNext month would have been Mrs. Reagan\u2019s 101st birthday,\u201d Biden continued. \u201cWith this stamp, we are affirming that she made such a difference.
