The couple could be seen holding an AR-15-style rifle and a pistol as a group of Black Lives Matter protesters walked past their home. The McCloskeys claimed the protesters broke down a barrier to enter the private community where their home was located, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/armed-st-louis-rioters-threatened-couple-guns-attorney\">according<\/a> to Fox News.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/07\/21\/sen-hawley-charges-st-louis-mccloskeys-miscarriage-justice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED:\u00a0Sen Hawley Calls Charges Against St Louis Couple \u2018Miscarriage Of Justice\u2019)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since the viral incident, Mark McCloskey <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/18\/mark-mccloskey-announces-senate-bid-missouri\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">has announced<\/a> a bit for Senate in Missouri.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGod came knocking on my door last summer disguised as an angry mob, and it woke me up,\u201d McCloskey told Fox News host and Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson at the time.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Supreme Court declines to take up a case involving sanctions against Missouri GOP Senate candidate Mark McCloskey and his wife, Patricia, who pointed guns at racial justice protesters outside their St. Louis home <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/pGKKMkAjSa\">https:\/\/t.co\/pGKKMkAjSa<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 CNN Politics (@CNNPolitics) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CNNPolitics\/status\/1533862551020359681?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 6, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The McCloskeys, both of whom are <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/06\/29\/armed-couple-st-louis-mansion-protest-lawyers-police-brutality\/\">lawyers<\/a>, pleaded guilty to <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/17\/mark-patricia-mccloskey-plead-guilty-misdemeanor-forfeit-guns-firearms-st-louis-reports\/\">misdemeanor<\/a> charges in June of 2021.
