The tanks are not Russian.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ukraine has extensively used Bayraktar TB2 drones to attack the Russian military, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.navalnews.com\/naval-news\/2022\/05\/surprising-success-of-ukraines-bayraktar-tb2-the-ghost-of-snake-island\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Naval News<\/a>. A video shared on Facebook, viewed more than 27,000 times, claims to show a Ukrainian Bayraktar TB2 drone destroying Russian tanks. \u201cUkraine\u2019s armed forces show a video with a Bayraktar drone destroying Russian tanks,\u201d reads the caption.<\/p>\n<p>The video predates the war in Ukraine. The video was posted to YouTube multiple times in 2020, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fnmcTxJgRek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">one September 2020 version<\/a> titled, \u201cAzerbaijan Army on Going Destroy Armenian Tanks and Military Vehicles With Bayraktar TB2 UCAV.\u201d Another version, posted on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=eDUncGw_54E&#038;t=2s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sept. 28, 2020<\/a>, is titled \u201cAzerbaijan Bayraktar TB2 Drone Attack in Garabagh.\u201d<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>Azerbaijan and Armenia have sporadically fought over the contested enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh since the 1990s, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfr.org\/global-conflict-tracker\/conflict\/nagorno-karabakh-conflict\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Council on Foreign Relations<\/a>. A six-week war\u00a0broke out between the two nations most recently in 2020, <a href=\"https:\/\/foreignpolicy.com\/2021\/03\/30\/army-pentagon-nagorno-karabakh-drones\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Foreign Policy<\/a> reported. Azerbaijan won the war partly because of its effective use of TB2 drones, according to the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>In the YouTube videos, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/topic\/flag-of-Azerbaijan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Azerbaijan flag<\/a> is visible in the upper left-hand corner.
