So, this is a \u2014 maybe there is one of the thousands and thousands and thousands of shootings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He probably should have stopped after the first three words in that statement. There are a lot more than one.<\/p>\n<p>During the Uvalde massacre, a border patrol agent took out the school shooter using a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.police1.com\/police-heroes\/articles\/off-duty-border-patrol-agent-borrowed-barbers-gun-rushed-to-texas-school-after-wife-texted-help-cjI75IWJtBjYN8ct\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gun borrowed<\/a> from his barber.<\/p>\n<p>A gunman at the West Freeway Church of Christ in Dallas in 2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/nbcpalmsprings.com\/2019\/12\/30\/deadly-shooting-in-texas-church-that-killed-2-parishioners-was-over-in-6-seconds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">was taken down<\/a> in \u201cseconds\u201d by armed church security volunteers. In that case, a pair of gun laws had recently been passed allowing churches to develop, train, and plan for their own teams to provide security.<\/p>\n<p>Those laws were in response to a 2017 mass shooting at a church in <a href=\"https:\/\/thepoliticalinsider.com\/sutherland-springs-hero-nra-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sutherland Springs<\/a> which was mercifully stopped by an armed neighbor.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Armed parishioners saved \u2018untold number of lives.\u2019 This law made it legal to have guns in church <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/RgW7K1UrXK\">https:\/\/t.co\/RgW7K1UrXK<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ZQU1G9bDeT\">pic.twitter.com\/ZQU1G9bDeT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 fox8news (@fox8news) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/fox8news\/status\/1211588181134659584?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 30, 2019<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><em>Just last week<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-us-canada-61615236\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an armed woman<\/a> in West Virginia shot a man who opened fire on a crowd of about 40 people with a semi-automatic rifle.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe if the media were honest, that heroic woman would have gotten nationwide coverage.
