The question is not only something that so-called experts in the medical community can\u2019t answer, but even everyday people on the street are unable or unwilling to provide an answer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe institutions in this country that are conspiring, and that starts with the medical community,\u201d The Daily Wire host said. \u201cThat\u2019s another thing that comes through in the film. Not just the film, [you] mentioned the work Abigail Shrier has done as well. \u2026 The really terrifying thing, especially if you\u2019re a parent, and especially of kids who are still living at home with you, you start to realize that there are these institutions you should be able to trust, and you really can\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou trust the medical institutions,\u201d he added. \u201cYou can\u2019t trust counselors, therapists. And that doesn\u2019t mean that they\u2019re all bad. But what it does mean is that you can\u2019t just assume now that they\u2019re in this position and so therefore you can have at least some minimal amount of trust. That\u2019s gone; that\u2019s obliterated. Which just speaks to the need for more vigilance among parents \u2014 especially if you\u2019re sending your kid to public school and they\u2019re having conversations with their guidance counselors, and everything else. You have to be very vigilant and aware of what\u2019s being said.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of the institutions, Walsh also talked about the drug that is being given to kids called Lupron, which is a rebranded drug that he said is \u201cchemically castrating kids\u201d who are seeking gender affirmation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey all endorse it,\u201d Walsh said. \u201cThey all say that this is affirming care, and that it\u2019s healthy and everything else. Well, you decide. Does it sound healthy and affirmative to chemically castrate kids? I don\u2019t think so.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The DW host also talked about speaking with \u201cgender-affirming\u201d therapists, questioning why they are needed, as he explained that no one has to affirm to him that he\u2019s a man \u2014 he already knows that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, if there\u2019s something about you that you think needs to be affirmed, then I think that probably means that there\u2019s some confusion there,\u201d Walsh said. \u201cThen that\u2019s what the therapy should be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also talked about a therapist in the film who affirmed him as a woman because he likes\u00a0scented candles.\u00a0Walsh admitted that it\u2019s kind of funny because it\u2019s \u201cso absurd,\u201d not unlike many other aspects of gender ideology \u2014 on the surface, it\u2019s funny due to the absurdity, but looking one layer deeper, you think, \u201cwell, this is terrifying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause I\u2019m not actually confused, but there are so many people that are confused and have issues, that\u2019s why they\u2019re in therapy, and you\u2019re ready to affirm somebody even just based on that?\u201d Walsh explained. \u201cSo, it\u2019s actually not a joke at all. \u2026 The whole idea of affirmation, either from psychiatrists or anybody in the therapy world, or even from doctors as well because we have gender affirming therapy and then also now they tell us about gender affirming surgery \u2014 they don\u2019t say sex change surgery anymore; they say gender affirming. Well, the whole idea that \u2026 you have to have something about you that allegedly already exists, that you have to go to a doctor or a therapist to affirm those things. I mean, if that\u2019s true and that\u2019s real and it already exists, then why does it need to be affirmed?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Later, the conversation turned to the darker side of the gender ideology push as the two discussed the serious matter of what is being done to kids.<\/p>\n<p>The two talk about Dr. Miriam Grossman, who appears in the film and explains where gender ideology came from. He said Grossman gets into Alfred Kinsey and John Money, who were \u201cboth kind of sexologists, psychologists around the same time, early to mid-twentieth century,\u201d and are the \u201ctwo main\u201d founders of gender ideology.<\/p>\n<p>Walsh explains how the film details that Kinsey\u2019s primary goal was to \u201csexualize children,\u201d that \u201cchildren were sexual from birth, that we\u2019re all sexual creatures cradle to grave,\u201d and that Kinsey \u201cwas very invested in this idea that \u2026 normal, healthy, so-called traditional relationships are \u2014 it\u2019s all a fake.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReally, when you get down to it, and you really talk to people, everybody\u2019s kind of a deviant and a pervert,\u201d the host said of Kinsey\u2019s belief. \u201cAnd in order to do that, he would go out and do<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Daily Wire podcast host Matt Walsh talked to Megyn Kelly about his new documentary \u201cWhat Is A Woman?\u201d which premiered on The Daily Wire Wednesday, and about how parents can\u2019t trust institutions like the medical community with kids anymore, as well as the dark origins of gender ideology.
