Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization<\/em> on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Advocates on both sides of the aisle have anxiously awaited a ruling every Monday since the May 2 publication of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/05\/02\/supreme-court-abortion-draft-opinion-00029473\">leaked draft opinion<\/a> indicating that the justices would likely overturn <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The draft document, which is not final, says\u00a0<em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>\u00a0was egregiously wrong. \u00a0As of Thursday, the leaker has not been publicly identified, but officials are reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/05\/31\/politics\/supreme-court-roe-v-wade-leak-phone-records\/index.html\">escalating efforts<\/a> to uncover who committed such an unprecedented breach of the court.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hold that\u00a0Roe\u00a0and\u00a0Casey\u00a0must be overruled,\u201d Justice Samuel Alito wrote.\u00a0\u201cIt is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people\u2019s elected representatives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>President Joe Biden\u2019s administration has vociferously condemned the potential overturn of <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>, and pro-abortion protestors <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/pro-life-leaders-prepare-for-threatened-summer-of-rage\">have commenced<\/a> a \u201cSummer of Rage\u201d and protesting.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday,\u00a0White House Gender Policy Council Director Jennifer Klein and staffers from the president and vice president\u2019s offices met with \u201ca\u00a0diverse group of national religious denominational leaders on reproductive rights,\u201d the White House said in a release.<\/p>\n<p>Senior administration officials reportedly reiterated Biden\u2019s \u201ccommitment to reproductive rights\u201d during the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAttendees discussed the importance of protecting access to health care, including reproductive health care, with a particular emphasis on the importance of equitable access for underserved communities,\u201d the release said. \u201cFaith leaders also highlighted the importance of the\u00a0constitutional rights affirmed in\u00a0<em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>, including the fundamental right to privacy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Notably absent from the list of religious groups that attended the meeting were representatives from the Catholic Church, which adamantly condemns abortion as a \u201ccrime against human life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden, often described by media and his staff as a \u201cdevout Catholic,\u201d has drawn heavy criticism for heading the most pro-abortion administration in United States history.<\/p>\n<p>Participants at the meeting included representatives from the\u00a0Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the\u00a0United Church of Christ, the\u00a0United Methodist Church, the\u00a0Presbyterian Church USA, the Fellowship of Affirming Ministries,\u00a0Reconstructing Judaism, the Rabbinical Assembly,\u00a0Yeshivat Chovevei Torah, and the\u00a0Central Conference of American Rabbis, according to the White House.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The United States Supreme Court is expected to issue opinions on Monday as abortion supporters and opponents breathlessly await a decision potentially overturning Roe v.
