The claim stems from a satirical website.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Paul Pelosi was charged with one count of driving under the influence and one count of operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content over 0.08 after he was involved in a car accident near his home in California May 29, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/05\/30\/nancy-pelosis-husband-in-a-car-crash-before-his-dui-arrest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York Post<\/a>. He was released from jail the next day after posting $5,000 bail, the outlet reported.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Instagram video, liked over 800 times, shows a screen recording of a news article that claims he was also recently charged and arrested for possession of child porn and cocaine. <\/span>\u201cPaul Pelosi charged with possession of child porn as #MemorialDay trends,\u201d reads the headline shown in the video. The article goes on to quote unidentified sources that said \u201cPelosi paid off the prosecutor\u2019s office to keep the second arrest \u2018off-the-books.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The claims are baseless. The <a href=\"https:\/\/vancouvertimes.org\/paul-pelosi-charged-with-possession-of-child-porn\/\"><span>article<\/span><\/a><span> was published by the Vancouver Times, which <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vancouvertimes.org\/about-us\/\"><span>identifies<\/span><\/a><span> itself as \u201cthe most trusted source for satire on the West Coast.\u201d <\/span><span>Check Your Fact found no <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=paul+pelosi+child+porn+and+cocaine&#038;sxsrf=ALiCzsYgXQKrjyRIEYdsxH3s7oE9td12wg:1654174976687&#038;source=lnms&#038;tbm=nws&#038;sa=X&#038;ved=2ahUKEwjHtIb_6Y74AhXzRjABHd6eAEsQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&#038;biw=1536&#038;bih=722&#038;dpr=1.25\"><span>credible news reports<\/span><\/a><span> to suggest Paul Pelosi or anyone affiliated with Nancy Pelosi was arrested for child porn or cocaine.
