Carlson began the segment by playing two clips from the documentary in which Walsh interviews a \u201cgender affirmation therapist\u201d and a pediatrician and professor who specializes in gender transition. Somewhat in disbelief, Carlson asked Walsh if those exchanges, in which the physicians elaborate on left-wing gender ideology, actually happened.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThose interviews, just those\u00a0clips we showed were over-the-top, were those real?\u201d Carlson asked Walsh.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wish I could say that we\u00a0invented that,\u201d Walsh replied. \u201cThe thing is, if I was going to\u00a0invent, like, a parody of left-wing\u00a0gender theory, I would never\u00a0think to create, you know, a\u00a0therapist who tells me I am actually\u00a0a woman because I like scented\u00a0candles.\u00a0I would have thought that\u2019s\u00a0too far. But no, this is very real, and one thing that comes out in the\u00a0film is a lot of this stuff, on\u00a0the surface, it\u2019s hilarious\u00a0because it\u2019s so absurd, but\u00a0then you realize \u2026 gender\u00a0ideology is utterly pervasive\u00a0and it\u2019s all over the country,\u00a0and what you just heard there, I mean, a therapist who will tell you that, \u2018yeah, you might be a woman\u00a0because you like scented\u00a0candles.\u2019\u00a0There are people who are actually confused going into these kinds of counselors and therapists and coming out even more confused, which is all by design. So there\u2019s the absurdity on the surface\u00a0and then underneath it, it\u2019s\u00a0really quite sinister.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carlson seemed to be even more in disbelief about the second clip, in which Walsh interviewed pediatrician, Dr. Michelle Forcier. \u201cThat was a physician?\u201d he asked. \u201cBecause she claimed puberty\u00a0blockers have no long-term\u00a0effects, which of course is not\u00a0true, so why does she have a\u00a0license still? Is she a doctor?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s a doctor and she is\u00a0also \u2014 she\u2019s a pediatrician,\u201d Walsh replied. \u201cShe\u00a0specializes in this kind of\u00a0thing, working with gender\u00a0confused kids, and putting them\u00a0on the path to chemical\u00a0castration, which is exactly\u00a0what that is, by the way.\u00a0We get into an exchange about\u00a0this; the drug they use that\u00a0they call puberty blockers\u00a0is Lupron, and that drug is actually used\u00a0to chemically castrate\u00a0sex offenders, and they are\u00a0giving it to kids.\u00a0I brought that up to her in the\u00a0film, and that was the first time that\u00a0she threatened to get up and\u00a0walk out of the room because she\u00a0didn\u2019t want to talk about it. But that is exactly what these\u00a0people are doing.
