One post shared on Facebook claims guns were completely banned at the event.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo?fbid=552856482874470&#038;set=a.397968961696557\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">post<\/a>, shared over 3,000 times, shows a tweet from Democratic congressional candidate <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/QasimRashid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Qasim Rashid<\/a> that reads, \u201cThe NRA has a total gun ban at their convention this weekend because they know gun bans work.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The NRA has a total gun ban at their convention this weekend because they know gun bans work.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Qasim Rashid, Esq. While some areas of the convention did have regulations on permitting firearms, there was no \u201ctotal gun ban.\u201d Special regulations were enacted in an area of the convention where Trump would be speaking, according to the NRA <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nraam.org\/events\/2022-events\/friday-may-27\/nra-ila-leadership-forum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPer the U.S. SECRET SERVICE, firearms, firearm accessories, knives, and other items WILL NOT BE PERMITTED in the General Assembly Hall,\u201d the Disclaimer on the NRA website reads. A Secret Service <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nraam.org\/media\/3617\/secret-service-notice.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">flyer<\/a> present at the event reiterates that firearms, ammunition and gun parts would be prohibited in the General Assembly Hall. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/05\/30\/fact-check-uvalde-texas-school-shooting-crisis-actor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Was The \u2018Same Actor\u2019 Present At The Sandy Hook Shooting And The Uvalde, Texas Shooting?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>However, another <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nraam.org\/attend\/firearms-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">section<\/a> of the NRA website explains firearms may be carried throughout the rest of the convention center. \u201cDuring the 151<sup>st<\/sup> NRA Annual Meetings &#038; Exhibits, personal firearms may be carried in the George R.
