When it comes to my family I try to be as supportive as I can.\u201d But he added in the rare interview that \u201cthis notion of \u2018the fixer,\u2019 or any reference that has a negative connotation, is offensive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe notion I am some underworld figure and I am a fixer or the cleaner or I\u2019m this or that\u2014I\u2019m a very concerned family member who tries to protect my family in every way I can, in what is a very ethical way,\u201d James Biden told the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>It comes as Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), who has been investigating and chronicling the Biden family\u2019s business dealings for years, recently\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/hunter-biden-republican-probe-business-dealings-james-biden-chuck-grassley\/\">told<\/a> CBS News that James Biden received\u00a0$65,000 in monthly payments from a Chinese-financed consulting group in 2018. I think James Biden was very much a part of this,\u201d Grassley said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/hunter-biden-used-burner-phone-and-data-recovery-apps-former-us-secret-service-agent_4495223.html\">Several weeks ago<\/a>, Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), ranking member of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, sent letters to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and 13 banks while asking for financial records and documents in connections to Hunter Biden, James Biden, as well as business associates Eric Schwerin and Devon Archer, among others.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are investigating the domestic and international business dealings of President Biden\u2019s son, Hunter Biden, and other Biden associates and family members to determine whether these activities compromise U.S. national security and President Biden\u2019s ability to lead with impartiality,\u201d Comer wrote in his letters.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/attorney-general-no-interference-allowed-in-hunter-biden-investigation_4428136.html\">grand jury subpoena had<\/a> revealed that federal prosecutors compelled banks to share financial records of Hunter Biden and the president\u2019s brother, James Biden.
