The remarks were part of former President Donald Trump\u2019s 2017 inaugural address.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ardern delivered a commencement speech to Harvard University\u2019s 2022 graduating class on May 26, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/news.harvard.edu\/gazette\/story\/2022\/05\/jacinda-arderns-forceful-warning-democracies-can-die\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Harvard Gazette<\/a>. Her speech touched on several political topics, including misinformation and gun violence, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>An image shared on Facebook claims she plagiarized part of it from \u201cBee Movie.\u201d The image alleges at one point in the speech, she said, \u201cWe are one nation \u2014 and their pain is our pain. Their dreams are our dreams; and their success will be our success. We share one heart, one home, and one glorious destiny.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Next to this alleged quote in the image is an alleged quote attributed to \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0389790\/fullcredits\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bee Movie<\/a>\u201d main character Barry B. Benson in which he makes a nearly identical statement, but uses the words \u201ccolony\u201d and \u201chive\u201d instead of \u201cnation\u201d and \u201chome.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn NZ we\u2019ve heard it all before, we were charmed at the time and then we saw through it,\u201d reads part of the image\u2019s caption. \u201cIt was like watching a Bee movie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The claim is incorrect. Check Your Fact reviewed Ardern\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=M4OCYb1Mgtc&#038;t=12501s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">entire speech<\/a>, which is available on YouTube, but found no evidence she made the statement attributed to her in the post.
