A draft response is provided below. Wanted to get your thoughts on this prior to sending out,\u201d Trainor wrote. <\/p>\n<p>In his reply, Sussmann asked the FBI to change the first line of the press release to reflect the DNC\u2019s messaging on the hack. He explained that he preferred a more definitive statement that made clear \u201cthe FBI is aware of the cyber intrusion involving the DCCC that has been reported in the media.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe draft you sent says only that the FBI is aware of media reports; it does not say that the FBI is aware of the intrusion that the DCCC reported. Indeed, it refers only to a \u2018possible\u2019 cyber intrusion and in that way undermines what the DCCC said in its statement (or at least calls into question what the DCCC said),\u201d Sussman wrote. \u201cThe other implication in your statement that could benefit from updating is that the FBI, just now, is looking into the nature and scope of the DCCC matter. In fact, the FBI has been aware of the DCCC intrusion for some time, and even (previously) received network indicators from the DCCC (i.e., from CrowdStrike).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trainor accepted the suggestions with minor protest and agreed to send out Sussmann\u2019s manipulated version of the press release soon. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMike \u2013 I am fine with the below suggestions. We try to really limit what we see and not acknowledging too much but the below edits are fine and we will send out,\u201d Trainor wrote. <\/p>\n<p>After just one day of deliberations, a D.C.-based federal jury found Sussmann not guilty. During the trial, however, key information further implicating the Democrat party\u2019s efforts to destroy the Trump campaign surfaced and confirmed what outlets such as The Federalist have long reported. <\/p>\n<p>As Federalist Senior Legal Correspondent Margot Cleveland wrote in <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/05\/31\/jury-acquits-clinton-campaign-attorney-but-prosecutors-prove-corporate-media-guilty\/\">her analysis<\/a> of the trial, \u201c<em>United States v. Sussmann<\/em>\u00a0exposed that Hillary Clinton holds full responsibility for the Russia collusion hoax.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Not only did Clinton\u2019s former campaign manager Robby Mook testify that the failed presidential candidate personally endorsed parroting the Alfa Bank narrative to anyone in the media who would listen but, as Cleveland noted, \u201cThe Sussmann prosecution also dispatched the lingering claims that a secret communication channel between Trump and Russia truly existed as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/fbi-trump-russia-alfa-bank-durham-sussmann-trial\">\u20185150,\u2019 or delusional, talk<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven the acquittal of Sussmann will not erase these facts.
