In this case, we are looking out for our children \u2014 our community\u2019s most precious resource,\u201d<\/em> HSI El Paso Deputy Special Agent Taekuk Cho said in the press release.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHSI is committed to continue working with our law enforcement partners to locate, recover and help missing children heal, while ensuring that perpetrators are held responsible for these heinous crimes and brought to justice.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAt the Department of Public Safety, teamwork is one of our core values,\u201d<\/em> Texas DPS Major Matthew Mull added.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe are grateful for all of our law enforcement partners who participated in this operation and who work around the clock every day to protect our communities, including our youth.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The announcement of<em> \u201cOperation Lost Souls\u201d<\/em> comes days after authorities arrested eight individuals in connection with a 15-year-old girl who was allegedly\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/texas-girl-trafficked-mavericks-dallas-suspects-arrested-oklahoma\">trafficked from a Dallas Mavericks game<\/a>\u00a0on April 8.<\/p>\n<p>The girl allegedly separated from her father to use the restroom at the game and was later seen leaving the American Airlines Center with an unknown man.<\/p>\n<p>A few days later, the Texas Counter-Trafficking Initiative found the girl\u2019s nude photos displayed on a website associated with prostitution.<\/p>\n<p>Police in Oklahoma City were able to recover the victim on April 18 \u2014 11 days after her disappearance.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe are thankful for the work of the Oklahoma City Police Department and the recovery of our daughter,\u201d<\/em> the girl\u2019s mother said in a May 5 statement.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;My heart breaks for the unimaginable things my daughter had to endure for the 11 days she was taken, and I am so glad she is safe as we work toward her recovery.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<figure title=\"The children rescued had suffered physical and sexual abuse\">\n<div class=\"articleImage\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/children-hospital-boys-tuck-gentitals-117322.jpg\" alt=\"the children rescued had suffered physical and sexual abuse\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"creditNew\">\u00a9\u00a0press<\/span>\n<\/div><figcaption>The children rescued had suffered physical and sexual abuse<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Zeke Fortenberry, an attorney representing the family, questioned how the male suspect who allegedly lured the girl from the arena was able to obtain a fraudulent ticket.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe systems and organizations involved in this case continually failed the victim.
