Read part one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2022\/05\/24\/exclusive-hun-justice-minister-ukrainian-refugees-wait-patiently-show-respect-illegals-breach-borders-attack-police\/\">here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Minister Judit Varga, a member of Viktor Orb\u00e1n\u2019s Fidesz-KDNP Party Alliance \u2014 which equalled Germany\u2019s recently retired Angela Merkel by winning its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2022\/04\/04\/four-more-years-hungarys-orban-declares-victory-over-international-left-soros-empire-mainstream-media\/\">fourth national election in a row<\/a> this April \u2014 was speaking to Breitbart London on the subject of her government\u2019s recent moves to prohibit LGBT content targeted at children in schools and some forms of media, which has drawn the ire of the European Union and the international left.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn recent years, a new trend emerged in Western Europe what I could simply call the gender madness,\u201d she said, saying that Germany, in particular, was a textbook example of \u201cwhat happens when the liberal advocates for multiculturalism and gender politics come to power\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>There, she said, the so-called \u2018traffic light\u2019 coalition government of the left-wing Social Democratic Party, far-left Greens, and liberal Free Democratic Party \u201cdevoted a separate sub-chapter to Queer policy\u201d in its manifesto, adding that this \u201cincluded, inter alia, the encouragement of the LGBTQ lobby in schools or the funding of the full cost of sex reassignment surgeries from taxpayers\u2019 money.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe said \u2018enough\u2019 since we believe that there can be no sexual education without the consent of parents,\u201d Varga insisted \u2014 but conceded that \u201cleft-liberal politicians in Brussels\u201d \u2014 the EU\u2019s chief power centre \u2014 \u201cdon\u2019t like that as it doesn\u2019t fit in their mainstream agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">EXCLUSIVE \u2013 Hun Justice Minister: Ukrainian Refugees \u2018Wait Patiently, Show Respect\u2019, Illegals \u2018Breach Borders, Attack Police\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/QTLABpqpy7\">https:\/\/t.co\/QTLABpqpy7<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartLondon\/status\/1529054606361239553?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 24, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Indeed, the European Union \u2014 notionally a mere \u201ctrade club\u201d for facilitating the free movement of goods, services, capital, and labour under a common set of rules \u2014 has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2021\/07\/17\/eu-commission-begins-legal-action-hungary-poland-over-lgbt-issues\/\">vowed to punish Hungary<\/a> for the legislation, arguing that the Central European country\u00a0\u201chas failed to explain why the exposure of children to LGBTIQ content as such would be detrimental to their well-being or not in line with the best interests of the child\u201d \u2014 as if such exposure should be the default unless Brussels can be persuaded otherwise.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey were shouting discrimination and claimed that the Hungarian people do not [support the proposals],\u201d Varga said, explaining that this was the reason her government organised a national referendum on them to coincide with the April elections.<\/p>\n<p>The specific questions put to Hungarian voters, translated to English, were as follows:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>Do you support holding information events on sexual orientation to minors, in public education institutions without parental consent?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Do you support the promotion of gender reassignment treatments to minors?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Do you support the unrestricted exposure of minors to sexually explicit media content, that may influence their development?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Do you support showing minors media content on gender changing procedures?<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cLet the people speak then \u2013 we said. And they did: never before have so many people voted in the same way in a referendum in Hungary since the 1990s as on 3 April,\u201d Varga said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlmost 3 million people sent the message: Hungarian parents have the exclusive right to educate their children\/leave our children alone\u2026\u00a0we have never signed any international convention or treaty that would transfer the power of raising children to anyone other than Hungarian parents. \u201d<\/p>\n<p>Technically, Hungarian referendums are not legally binding if at least 50 per cent of the electorate do not cast a valid ballot, and the LGBT content referendum fell below this threshold because the laws\u2019 opponents \u2014 perhaps not believing they could win fair and square \u2014 organised <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2022\/04\/06\/leftists-boycotted-hungarian-lgbt-child-protection-referendum-invalidating-vote\/\">mass ballot spoiling<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This meant that, despite <a href=\"https:\/\/vtr.valasztas.hu\/nepszavazas2022\/reszveteli-adatok?tab=country\">a turnout of 69.44 per cent<\/a>, only 45.25 per cent of the electorate officially cast a valid ballot \u2014 but Minister Varga\u2019s comments to Breitbart London suggest that the Hungarian government believes it has a democratic mandate to press on with its policy despite these spoiler tactics.<\/p>\n<p>Sixteen so-called civil society NGOs accused of encouraging the sabotage of the referendum, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amnesty.hu\/after-the-failed-anti-lgbtqi-referendum-the-government-would-silence-ngos-with-fines\/\">including Amnesty International<\/a>, were given small fines by Hungary\u2019s
