Wade<\/em>, the abortion rights lobby has focused on the mantra of \u201cmy body, my choice.\u201d But a gruesome series of cases from Florida demonstrates what some abortionists do to women\u2019s bodies \u2014 and why the pro-life movement seeks to protect both women and their unborn children in equal measure.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps unsurprisingly, the leftist media has thus far failed to report about a Pensacola, Florida abortion facility state <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pnj.com\/story\/news\/2022\/05\/21\/pensacola-florida-abortion-clinic-ordered-close-after-three-women-hospitalized\/9871271002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">authorities recently shut down<\/a>\u00a0for numerous safety violations. But the American people need to know about the horrors one \u201cdoctor\u201d inflicted on numerous women who trusted him to terminate their pregnancies.<\/p>\n<p>In one incident this March, a woman started bleeding during her abortion, necessitating a transfer to a local hospital. When emergency technicians arrived at the facility, they found \u201cpools of blood on the floor\u201d \u2014 and a patient with extremely low blood pressure and no pulse detected at her wrist. <\/p>\n<p>At the hospital, surgeons discovered \u201ca big hole on the left wall of the uterus and another on the right side,\u201d along with cuts to her cervix. The woman in question ultimately required an emergency hysterectomy and 10 pints of blood. That\u2019s roughly as much as in an average person\u2019s body.<\/p>\n<p>Just a few short weeks ago, another patient at the same facility also received lacerations to her cervix and uterus during an attempted abortion. When this patient also required hospitalization, the abortionist\u2019s staff told the patient\u2019s spouse to drive her to a facility in Mobile, Alabama \u2014 an hour away, and across state lines \u2014 rather than the nearby hospital in Pensacola. Staff at the Mobile facility reported that, when the woman arrived, she had no blood pressure and a dangerously low blood oxygen reading of 80 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The problems with the Pensacola abortion facility didn\u2019t end there. In both the March and May cases, staff didn\u2019t properly document patients\u2019 vital signs and did not communicate with the hospitals about the patients. <\/p>\n<p>In the May instance, they left a patient waiting in her car after she was administered drugs before her abortion. In these two cases, and in an August 2021 case where a patient receiving an abortion had to have parts of her colon removed, the abortion facility failed to report these hospitalizations within 10 days, as required by state guidelines.<\/p>\n<h2>Abortionists\u2019 \u2018War on Women\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>It\u2019s truly ironic that the left attacks the pro-life movement for a supposed \u201cwar on women,\u201d when this Pensacola facility has been inflicting harm on females, who have the literal and figurative scars to prove it. Only time will tell if other brave women will come forward to tell about physical or psychological harm they suffered at the hands of these Florida abortionists.<\/p>\n<p>The pro-abortion movement has liked to portray Kermit Gosnell \u2014 the Philadelphia abortionist ultimately convicted of murder and dozens of other felonies \u2014 as an aberration. But the phrase \u201chouse of horrors\u201d accurately describes the treatment the Pensacola victims faced, just as it did to the babies Gosnell murdered.<\/p>\n<p>The discovery of the Pensacola facility comes as pro-abortion lawmakers and activists are looking to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/05\/10\/new-york-to-allocate-35m-to-help-abortion-providers-00031388\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">expand the abortion industry<\/a>\u00a0in friendly states. These pro-abortion states seek to accommodate women from states that may restrict or prohibit the procedure if the Supreme Court overturns\u00a0<em>Roe<\/em>. But the Pensacola facility shows the dangers of an approach that allows\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2022\/04\/11\/1091967163\/abortion-rights-health-insurance-larry-hogan-maryland-veto-fetus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">less qualified individuals<\/a>\u00a0to perform abortions without the proper training and supervision.<\/p>\n<p>As a mother, my heart aches for all the women so grievously injured by this horrific abortion facility, as well as the lives of their unborn children \u2014 precious creatures snuffed out far too soon.
