There is no evidence the two women are related.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>A shooting at Robb Elementary school in Uvalde, Texas May 24 left 19 students and two teachers dead in the deadliest school shooting in a decade, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/article\/uvalde-texas-school-shooting.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The New York Times<\/a>. The Department of Justice has since launched an investigation into the police response to the shooting following a series of allegations of negligence, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2022\/may\/29\/uvalde-school-shooting-doj-launches-investigation-into-police-response\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Guardian<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook image, shared over 250 times, shows two images of an adult woman, one labeled \u201cRobb Elementary Shooting\u201d and the other \u201cSandy Hook Shooting.\u201d Text in the post claims the two photos show the \u201csame actor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFalse flags are too sloppy,\u201d reads additional text included in the image. \u201cAnother staged hoax. Research \u2018crisis actors\u2019 &#038; \u2018the world is a stage.&#8217;\u201d<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/05\/26\/fact-check-cnn-article-texas-school-shooting-victim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did CNN Report That A Man Named \u2018Bernie Gores\u2019 Was Killed In The Uvalde, Texas School Shooting?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The two images included in the post do not feature the same person.\u00a0The image on the left shows Robb Elementary teacher Eva Mireles, one of the two adults killed in the May 24 shooting in Uvalde, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/GMA\/Family\/daughter-posts-tribute-mom-teacher-died-texas-school\/story?id=84998776\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ABC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The photo on the right is of Sandy Hook Elementary School teacher Vicki Soto, who was killed in a December 2012 shooting at the school in Newtown, Connecticut, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/newyork\/news\/sandy-hook-first-grade-teacher-victoria-soto-remembered-as-hero\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CBS News<\/a>.\u00a0A larger version of the image can be found on the Vicki Soto Memorial Fund\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamvickisoto.com\/whoisvickisoto\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While the two women look similar in the photos included in the Facebook post, an examination of additional images reveals they had different features. A photo of Mireles <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-us-canada-61593071\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">published<\/a> by BBC News provides a clearer view of her face, revealing she had dark eyes and distinct facial features. An image of Soto uploaded to the Vicki Soto Memorial Fund\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamvickisoto.com\/whoisvickisoto\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a> shows she had blue eyes.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time misinformation related to the shooting in Uvalde has gone viral.
