Dan Crenshaw took CNN to task over its attempt to blame the GOP for its lack of support for sweeping gun control laws following the Uvalde school shooting, pointing out that the proposals would not have the outcome Americans desire.<\/p>\n<p>Crenshaw, a military veteran and representative in the state where the mass shooting occurred, made the remarks during an interview with CNN\u2019s Dana Bash on \u201cState of the Union\u201d on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot of these policies that I think the Democrats often propose that are gun control policies, they do two things. One, they infringe on the rights of millions and millions of gun owners. Again, he went through a background check. So the problem isn\u2019t that a red flag law could have solved this. It doesn\u2019t seem clear that would have happened. The shooter was killed by a nearby Border Patrol officer who responded to the call for help.<\/p>\n<p>CNN\u2019s \u201cState of the Union\u201d also interviewed Texas state Democratic Sen.
