The \u201cAquaman\u201d actress has countersued for $100 million.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe gave the performance of her life,\u201d Camille Vasquez told the jury, bolstering Team Depp\u2019s claim that Heard has perpetrated a #MeToo hoax against her ex-husband.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe came into this courtroom prepared to give the performance of her life, and she gave it,\u201d Vasquez <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/camille-vasquez-accuses-amber-heard-sobbing-without-tears-1710914\">continued<\/a>. \u201cMs. Heard\u2019s acting coach, Kristina Sexton, testified that Ms. Heard has difficulty crying when she is acting. You saw it, Ms. Heard sobbing\u00a0without tears while spinning elaborate, exaggerated, fantastical accounts of abuse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cameras in the courtroom panned to Heard, appearing angry and shaking her head at Vasquez\u2019s argument.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a performance,\u201d Vasquez continued. \u201cShe told you what she thinks you need to hear to convict this man as a domestic abuser and a rapist. She wants you to believe she was abused countless times. Countless times over the entire course of their relationship. But as Mr. [Ben] Chew and I promised you, the evidence just does not bear that out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, the jury <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insider.com\/amber-heards-acting-coach-said-actress-struggled-with-fake-crying-2022-5\">viewed<\/a> taped deposition from Heard acting coach Kristina Sexton, who said her client had trouble producing real tears, \u201cacting-wise,\u201d explaining that she knew when Heard was genuinely crying about her relationship with Depp.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs [their] relationship progressed and the fighting got heavier, I would have to build in time because she\u2019d be sobbing at the beginning of sessions, and we couldn\u2019t work until we got her together,\u201d Sexton <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insider.com\/amber-heards-acting-coach-said-actress-struggled-with-fake-crying-2022-5\">recalled<\/a>, adding,\u00a0I would say that last year they were together, probably 80 to 90% of our sessions began with her crying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIronically, she has a little difficulty crying acting-wise,\u201d the acting coach said of Heard.<\/p>\n<p>In closing arguments for Heard\u2019s team, attorney Ben Rottenborn argued that the jury has to find that Depp abused Heard just one time, in any capacity, to come to a verdict for his client.<\/p>\n<p>Following closing arguments and rebuttal from both Depp and Heard\u2019s legal teams on Friday, the jury was released for deliberation. After over two hours, the jury was sent home for the long holiday week.
