Heard countersued for $100 million, arguing that she had not mentioned Depp by name in the article and that he was smearing her by claiming she had been violent with him.<\/p>\n<p>But as Heard attorney Ben Rottenborn attempted to tie the actress\u2019 case into a neat bow, loud alerts <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/movies\/alarm-mistaken-for-amber-alert-goes-off-during-closing-arguments-of-amber-heard-johnny-depp-trial\/\">began to go off<\/a> on mobile phones around the courtroom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere appears to be an Amber Alert,\u201d Judge Penney Azcarate explained as the alarms continued to go off, attributing the sounds to the statewide alerts that go out when a child has been reported missing. \u201cPeople are getting it on their phones that haven\u2019t silenced them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmber Alert.\u00a0There is an amber alert going off in the court during Amber Heard\u2019s closing. You can hear all the alerts going off while Rottenborn is trying to figure out what is happening. An Amber Alert\u2026during her closing\u2026.. I can\u2019t,\u201d legal commentator Emily Baker <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheEmilyDBaker\/status\/1530216765233537024\">replied<\/a>, adding the hashtag:\u00a0#JohnnyDeppAmberHeardTrial.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo the whole court room has their phones going off with this alarm and the judge announces: it\u2019s just an Amber alert. You can\u2019t make this sh** up. Whether it was or not doesn\u2019t really matter,\u201d another <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/unhealthytruth\/status\/1530409153553997824\">tweeted<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Patrick Bet-David <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/patrickbetdavid\/status\/1530527270242291713\">added<\/a>, \u201c\u2018There appears to be an Amber alert\u2019\u00a0during Amber\u2019s attorneys closing argument.
