Joe Manchin (D-WV), who voted with all GOP Senators in the chamber for a resolution to kill the so-called asylum rule.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>The rule is being created by Alejandro Mayorkas, the pro-migration zealot in charge of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). It would allow lower-level officials \u2014 some of whom may be political activists \u2014 to give the huge gift of amnesty and citizenship to an unlimited number of migrants as they appear at the border.<\/p>\n<p>The rule would bypass the law set by Congress which says asylum seekers must offer evidence to persuade a judge in immigration court. The limits on asylum are designed to protect Americans from a flood of cheap labor that would wreck their ability to bargain for decent wages in a free market for labor.<\/p>\n<p>The Thursday vote shows that nearly all Democrats are eager to attract and welcome illegal migrants, regardless of their TV claims that they oppose illegal migration, said one Hill source.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<div id=\"attachment_19955354\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.breitbart.com\/media\/2022\/02\/GettyImages-1233910151.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>File\/Migrants wait in a makeshift migrant camp in the border town of Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico on July 10, 2021. (PAUL RATJE\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cThey dangle asylum and citizenship\u201d to lure more poor migrants to the U.S. border, despite lethal hazards and the legal bar against giving asylum status to economic migrants, the source said.<\/p>\n<p>For example, the fast-track asylum rules were backed by several Democratic Senators who have recently declared their opposition to ending Title 42, the source noted. These zig-zag Democrats include Senators Mark Kelly and Kyrsten Sinema from Arizona, as well as Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto from Nevada.<\/p>\n<p>The final vote was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.senate.gov\/legislative\/LIS\/roll_call_votes\/vote1172\/vote_117_2_00211.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">48 nos, 46 yays<\/a>.\u00a0 But one of the no votes was cast by GOP leader Sen, Mitch McConnell (R-TN) because the no vote allows him to bring the issue up for a revote.<\/p>\n<p>Four GOP Senators were not in the Senate to vote against the rule. They were Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND), Sen. Ted\u00a0Cruz (R-TX), and Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK).<\/p>\n<p>Two Democratic Senators also missed the vote: Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) and Chris\u00a0Van Hollen (D-MD).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>The four GOP Senators also missed the main vote of the day, for or against the\u00a0Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021. (ORLANDO SIERRA\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The GOP Senators may win the fight in a future vote because Manchin\u2019s support would give them 51 votes.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>But Biden has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/SAP-SJR46.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">promised to veto<\/a> the legislative effort.<\/p>\n<p>GOP officials in multiple states have filed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/05\/25\/texas-sues-biden-administration-over-attempt-to-codify-catch-and-release-at-southern-border\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">two lawsuits<\/a> against the asylum rule. The lawsuits ask judges to block the rule because it violates Congress laws.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2011, agency officials have allowed the asylum process to get jammed by applications from more than 1.7 million migrants. The clog ensures that the migrants can stay to work in the U.S. for many years while their claims are slowly processed and appealed.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Democrats defend the new asylum giveaway as a good management policy to improve the efficiency of the asylum process. RollCall.com <a href=\"https:\/\/rollcall.com\/2022\/05\/26\/republican-bid-to-nix-asylum-policy-falls-short-in-senate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Sen.\u00a0Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., who recently co-sponsored legislation that would require the administration to keep Title 42 in place longer, said he voted against the resolution because he supports efforts to send more officers to the border and speed up processing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe idea is that if you want to expedite, you know, removal of asylum-seekers, you have folks there at the border to do that,\u201d Kelly said. \u201cThat\u2019s consistent with the \u2018no\u2019 vote.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But the rule would do little to remove the backlog because it allows any migrant who is rejected at the border to get a job after filing an appeal in the clogged asylum courts.<\/p>\n<p>On May 26, DHS described the plan to favored reporters, including CBSNews.com, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/immigration-policy-asylum-seekers-interview-texas-detention-sites\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The program will start on a small scale on Tuesday [May 31], with U.S. asylum officers expected to receive a few hundred cases per month during the first implementation phase, Justice Department and Homeland Security officials said during a call with reporters, requesting anonymity to discuss the plan.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, only asylum-seekers who tell U.S. border officials they plan to live near Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Newark or San Francisco will be enrolled in the new program, which aims to condense the asylum adjudication period from the current years-long timeframe to several months.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cDHS officials said they are working to provide migrants access to pro-bono attorneys before the initial screenings,\u201d CBS reported.<\/p>\n<p>The plan \u201ccould represent the leading edge of what some experts see as the most sweeping change to the asylum process in a quarter-century,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/05\/26\/us\/politics\/asylum-system.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> the <em>New York Times<\/em>. It is \u201cPresident Biden\u2019s first significant policy aimed at improving the asylum system, which he pledged to restore after its four years of decline during the Trump administration,\u201d the report said.<\/p>\n<p>But economic migrants have huge incentives to ask for asylum even if they have no valid reason to fear political persecution in their home country. The incentives include the eagerness of Mayorkas\u2019 deputies to provide the migrants with work permits and transport to the cities where the migrants have friends who can help them find jobs.<\/p>\n<p>If the migrants decline to ask Mayorkas\u2019 agents for asylum, they have to take the dangerous, and expensive trips through the scrub and desert along the border, and then pay high prices to coyote taxis to take them north.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">More than half of American adults want Biden to have a tougher policy regarding illegal immigration at the United States-Mexico border, a new poll concludes. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/B6WswlEcCx\">https:\/\/t.co\/B6WswlEcCx<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1513257377553952775?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 10, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Since he took office in early 2021, Mayorkas has been working to create many pipelines for foreign migrants to move into U.S. society. These pipelines are intended to help worldwide migrants safely and cheaply bypass the cartels\u2019 violent and profitable labor-trafficking networks through Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>The pipelines are hidden behind the federal government\u2019s pretense of guarding the border, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/05\/25\/joe-bidens-dhs-removes-title-42-barrier-piece-by-piece\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Title 42 barrier<\/a>\u00a0charade.<\/p>\n<p>The pipelines include fast-track work permits for asylum applicants, so-called Unaccompanied Alien Children, easy parole for many Central Americans, Afghans, and Ukrainians. The pipelines are smoothed by a series of government-funded aid stations then help migrants along the trail, from Panama to Mexico to Texas, and then to Florida and California, Maine, and Oregon.<\/p>\n<p>Mayorkas is also helping migrants within the United States get work permits and legal green cards. For example, he is expanding the U Visa program, which awards work permits and green cards to migrants who say they are a witness to a crime.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Extraction Migration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since at least 1990, the D.C. establishment has\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tag\/extraction-migration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">extracted<\/a>\u00a0tens of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2022\/02\/23\/report-u-s-immigrant-population-hits-record-46-6-million\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">millions<\/a> of migrants and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/02\/24\/bidens-border-agency-worries-about-tinder-swindler-amid-migration-fraud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">visa workers<\/a> from poor countries to serve as legal or illegal workers, temporary workers, consumers, and renters for various <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/welcome.us\/ceo-council\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">U.S. investors and CEOs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/12\/20\/washington-post-low-wage-employers-struggle-after-cheap-labor-bubble\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">economic<\/a>\u00a0strategy of\u00a0Extraction Migration\u00a0has\u00a0no\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/11\/20\/gop-donors-economist-immigration-can-offset-foreign-trade-risks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stopping<\/a>\u00a0point. It is brutal to ordinary Americans because it cuts their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/03\/12\/bloomberg-opts-h1bs-take-two-three-new-tech-jobs-each-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">career<\/a> opportunities, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/04\/08\/elite-academics-hide-amnesty-wage-pain-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shrinks<\/a> their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/29\/bidens-commerce-chief-fights-mayorkas-to-get-jobs-for-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">salaries<\/a> and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/09\/18\/white-house-amnesty-cuts-wages-but-not-for-the-longer-run\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wages<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/06\/16\/new-yorks-mayoral-rivals-vow-cheap-housing-plus-more-migrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">raises<\/a>\u00a0their housing costs, and has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/03\/15\/d-c-s-economic-policy-sidelines-almost-20-million-american-men\/\">shoved<\/a> at least ten million American men\u00a0out of the labor force.<\/p>\n<p>Extraction migration also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/12\/20\/washington-post-low-wage-employers-struggle-after-cheap-labor-bubble\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">distorts<\/a>\u00a0the economy, damages <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/05\/10\/business-tells-congress-use-china-bill-import-more-foreign-graduates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">professionals\u2019<\/a> clout, and curbs Americans\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/07\/11\/president-trump-wins-big-on-secret-meatpacking-robots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">productivity<\/a>, partly because it allows employers to use stoop labor instead of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2020\/04\/05\/watch-americans-machines-hard-working-migrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">machines<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Migration also reduces voters\u2019 political\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com+%22john+binder%22+%22demographic+change%22&#038;rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS946US946&#038;oq=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com+%22john+binder%22+%22demographic+change%22&#038;aqs=chrome..69i57j69i58.10228j0j4&#038;sourceid=chrome&#038;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">clout<\/a>, undermines employees\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/03\/04\/joe-biden-delivers-flood-of-cheap-migrant-labor-to-new-york\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">workplace<\/a>\u00a0rights, and widens the regional wealth <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/08\/13\/zuckerbergs-data-says-amnesty-gives-economic-windfall-coastal-democratic-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gaps<\/a>\u00a0between the Democrats\u2019 big coastal states and the Republicans\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/01\/10\/former-steeltown-seeks-afghans-to-replace-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">heartland<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2022\/04\/19\/alabama-gop-senate-race-mike-durant-promise-more-foreign-workers-to-the-people-i-represent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">southern<\/a> states.<\/p>\n<p>An economy built on extraction migration also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/06\/06\/authors-antifa-rioters-are-the-tech-economys-college-discards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">alienates young people<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/01\/survey-elite-imposed-migration-is-transforming-national-politics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">radicalizes<\/a> Americans\u2019 democratic, compromise-promoting civic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/search\/?s=%22white+supremacy%22#gsc.tab=0&#038;gsc.q=%22white%20supremacy%22&#038;gsc.page=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">culture<\/a> because it allows wealthy elites to ignore <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Diseases_of_despair\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">despairing<\/a> Americans\u00a0at the\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JorgeAl49986803\/status\/1439791277571145737?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">bottom<\/a>\u00a0of society.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>The economic policy is hidden behind a variety of high-minded narratives. These include the claim that the U.S. is a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tag\/nation-of-immigrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nation of Immigrants<\/a>,\u201d that Americans have a duty to accept foreign refugees, or that the government needs a different population. But the progressives\u2019 colonialism-like economic strategy reduces\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/11\/20\/gop-donors-economist-immigration-can-offset-foreign-trade-risks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">overseas investment<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/02\/01\/dhs-mayorkas-welcomes-illegal-migrant-survivor-boat-disaster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kills<\/a> many migrants, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2020\/04\/05\/watch-americans-machines-hard-working-migrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">exploits<\/a>\u00a0poor people, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/04\/13\/joe-bidens-half-open-border-splits-tens-of-thousands-of-families\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">splits<\/a>\u00a0foreign families as it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/01\/10\/critics-joe-biden-is-restarting-hunger-games-migration-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">extracts<\/a> human-resources wealth from\u00a0the poor home countries.<\/p>\n<p>The economic policy is backed by progressives who wish to transform the U.S. from a society governed by European-origin civic culture into a progressive-directed empire of feuding identity groups. \u201cWe\u2019re trying to become the first multiracial, multi-ethnic superpower in the world,\u201d Rep. Rohit Khanna (D-CA) <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/03\/21\/opinion\/sway-kara-swisher-ro-khanna.html?showTranscript=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">told<\/a> the\u00a0<em>New York Times<\/em>\u00a0on March 21. \u201cIt will be an extraordinary achievement \u2026 we will ultimately triumph,\u201d he boasted.<\/p>\n<p>Not surprisingly, the wealth-shifting extraction migration policy is very unpopular, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/03\/30\/harvard-harris-poll-5-in-6-americans-want-to-end-immigration-from-mexico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wide\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/01\/14\/poll-americans-want-companies-hire-americans-before-migrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">variety<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/04\/13\/ipsos-poll-nearly-8-in-10-americans-want-immigration-moratorium-for-u-s\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">polls<\/a>.
