Knowing he had no time to waste, Albarado borrowed his barber\u2019s shotgun and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/live\/2022\/05\/26\/us\/texas-elementary-school-shooting#an-abandoned-haircut-a-shotgun-and-a-plan-how-a-border-patrol-agent-got-his-daughter-and-others-out\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rushed<\/a> to the school where he developed a plan with a few other law enforcement officers to evacuate his daughter, wife, and other students and staff who were holed up in bathrooms and classrooms.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did what I was trained to do,\u201d Albarado told the Times.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a growing push on the left to surrender children to \u201cthe community.\u201d For years, Democrats and the corporate media have preached that the government and its institutions such as schools should make decisions about kids for parents. They want parents to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/outlook\/parents-rights-protests-kids\/2021\/10\/21\/5cf4920a-31d4-11ec-9241-aad8e48f01ff_story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stay out of the debate over radical curricula<\/a> and encourage teachers to go behind guardians\u2019 backs to call kids by different names and label them a different sex. <\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a time and a place for \u201cit takes a village\u201d in child-rearing, but in the case of Uvalde, those institutions that are supposed to protect some of the most innocent lives in society miserably failed, proving that the only thing that can love, sacrifice, and protect your kids to the fullest extent is you.<\/p>\n<p>While Albarado risked his life to save his family and dozens of children, law enforcement officers, sworn to protect the community at all costs, waited outside of the school building where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/culture\/culture-news\/uvalde-shooting-911-calls-1359759\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">they knew kids were being slaughtered<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"936\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Screen-Shot-2022-05-27-at-11.49.58-AM-936x1024-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-273161\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Screen-Shot-2022-05-27-at-11.49.58-AM-936x1024-1.png 936w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Screen-Shot-2022-05-27-at-11.49.58-AM-274x300-1.png 274w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Screen-Shot-2022-05-27-at-11.49.58-AM-768x840-1.png 768w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Screen-Shot-2022-05-27-at-11.49.58-AM.png 1190w\"><\/figure>\n<p>They had apparently already tried to approach the afflicted classroom once, <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/uvalde-school-shooting-politics-texas-shootings-56a4d01fb1cda19947db89fcb6bd85fd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">more than 15 minutes<\/a> after the shooter crashed his car outside of the elementary school and entered through an apparently propped-open door, but retreated after taking fire, a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/esaagar\/status\/1530229921985056769?s=20&#038;t=iIP_LKdmBp7n25XuQeBNFQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">direct violation of active shooter training<\/a>. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"476\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Screen-Shot-2022-05-27-at-12.14.36-PM-1024x476-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-273165\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Screen-Shot-2022-05-27-at-12.14.36-PM-1024x476-1.png 1024w, https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Screen-Shot-2022-05-27-at-12.14.36-PM-300x139.png 300w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Screen-Shot-2022-05-27-at-12.14.36-PM-768x357-1.png 768w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Screen-Shot-2022-05-27-at-12.14.36-PM.png 1192w\"><\/figure>\n<p>According to Texas Department of Public Safety Lt. Chris Olivarez, officers backed away because <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblaze.com\/news\/texas-dps-criticism-officers-could-have-been-shot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cthey could have been shot.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Reports indicate that the shooter remained inside the school, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chron.com\/news\/houston-texas\/article\/Uvalde-Texas-school-shooting-shooter-timeline-17200236.php?t=323f071172\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">periodically firing at<\/a> students and staff, for upwards of 40 minutes while officers fended off and reportedly even <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/efindell\/status\/1529915662142951442?s=20&#038;t=Uf1IE7KfgtOFPh5zQREdiw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">handcuffed<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/uvalde-residents-voice-frustration-over-shooting-response-11653588161\"> parents<\/a> outside who urged police to enter the school. <\/p>\n<p>Angeli Rose Gomez, a mother of a second- and third-grader at Robb Elementary, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/uvalde-residents-voice-frustration-over-shooting-response-11653588161\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told The Wall Street Journal<\/a> she\u00a0drove 40 miles to the school after she heard the news of the shooting only to get handcuffed when she urged police officers to intervene. Gomez said she wasn\u2019t the only parent detained for trying to save her children.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe said she saw a father tackled and thrown to the ground by police and a third pepper-sprayed,\u201d WSJ reported. <\/p>\n<p>After she was released, Gomez \u201cjumped the school fence, and ran inside to grab her two children. She sprinted out of the school with them.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"HdzG2jg1fxnch0A3rYqPpTtS7COW4DbR\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The presser came after increased anger and questions from residents about the response. A local mom told <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realrobcopeland?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@realrobcopeland<\/a> she was handcuffed when she tried to push police about going into the school <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/GOi5JMIjqN\">pic.twitter.com\/GOi5JMIjqN<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Elizabeth Findell (@efindell) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/efindell\/status\/1529915662142951442?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 26, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t until 12:45 p.m. that a Border Patrol tactical unit arrived at the scene to shoot and kill the suspect. <\/p>\n<p>We can\u2019t count on cowardly bureaucracies that handcuff mothers and fathers of kid hostages to have the same vested interest in children as their parents do. The government didn\u2019t jump to beat down the doors of the school to protect 19 innocent children and two adults from the harms of this world, but mothers and fathers tried to.<\/p>\n<p>Children do not belong to schools, the government, or society.
