It had little, if anything at all to do with keeping voters safe from Covid-19, as it purported to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the 2020 election, CTCL received <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techandciviclife.org\/100m\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$400 million<\/a> from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/10\/12\/the-2020-election-wasnt-stolen-it-was-bought-by-mark-zuckerberg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">to finance<\/a> \u201cthe infiltration of election offices at the city and county level by left-wing activists\u201d and use them \u201cas a platform to implement preferred administrative practices, voting methods, and data-sharing agreements, as well as to launch intensive outreach campaigns in areas heavy with Democratic voters,\u201d in the words of William Doyle in The Federalist.<\/p>\n<p>According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/capitalresearch.org\/article\/shining-a-light-on-zuck-bucks-in-key-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">report<\/a> from the Capital Research Center, CTCL \u201cdistributed a total of 31 grants above the $5,000 minimum to Wisconsin cities and townships,\u201d with 28 going \u201cdirectly to specific cities\u201d rather than counties. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOut of those 28 grants just 8 of the recipient localities were won by Trump, while 20 were won by Biden,\u201d the report reads. \u201cTogether, these 20 cities received $9 million or 90 percent of all CTCL funds in Wisconsin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Capital Research Center findings also reveal that \u201c[f]or grants over $5,000, 9 of CTCL\u2019s 10 largest per capita grants went to cities which Biden won,\u201d with Racine ($21.83), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenbaypressgazette.com\/story\/news\/2020\/11\/04\/election-2020-all-eyes-green-bay-presidential-race-too-close-call\/6158242002\/\">Green Bay<\/a> ($11.60), Kenosha ($8.63), Milwaukee ($5.91), and Madison ($4.71) receiving the most out of all localities in the state.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuits from Wisconsin voters come after the Wisconsin Elections Commission refused <a href=\"https:\/\/thomasmoresociety.org\/voter-lawsuits-filed-against-election-officials-in-wisconsins-five-largest-cities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">last month<\/a> to launch investigations into the five cities for their use of unmanned drop boxes, despite a <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/01\/17\/wisconsin-judge-bans-ballot-drop-boxes-says-election-officials-broke-the-law\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">January ruling<\/a> from a Waukesha County Circuit Court judge saying that such drop boxes and ballot harvesting \u201cviolate state law and cannot be used in the upcoming midterm elections.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s all good and nice, but there\u2019s no authority to do it,\u201d Judge Michael Bohren <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jsonline.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2022\/01\/13\/judge-bars-use-absentee-ballot-drop-boxes-wisconsin\/6512589001\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> with respect to the use of drop boxes.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<p>\n  Shawn Fleetwood is an intern at The Federalist and a graduate of the University of Mary Washington.
