The White House says the South Korean boy band will talk with Biden next week about Asian representation and inclusion. They\u2019ll also discuss hate crimes and discrimination against Asians. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ZQVTJ1xznq\">https:\/\/t.co\/ZQVTJ1xznq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Associated Press (@AP) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AP\/status\/1529881747445399554?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 26, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The announcement comes following Biden\u2019s recent trip to Asia where he spent time in Seoul and had meetings with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/05\/26\/politics\/k-pop-bts-white-house\/index.html\">CNN<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, BTS made headlines when they spoke out about \u201cdiscrimination\u201d they claimed to have faced as Asians in a t<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BTS_twt\/status\/1376712834269159425?s=20&#038;t=Q66kwTYTmbc4wv9HE-N2bw\">weet<\/a> with the hashtag \u201c#StopAsianHate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe recall moments when we faced discrimination as Asians,\u201d the BTS statement read at the time. \u201cWe have endured expletives without reason and were mocked for the way we look.
