Twenty-nine percent of Democrats, 88% of Republicans and 72% of independents said he is too old for the presidency.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">NEW Harvard-Harris poll: Only 39% of independents believe that President Biden in \u201cmentally fit\u201d vs 61% who say they \u201chave doubts about his fitness\u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/UbIB2zwk6E\">https:\/\/t.co\/UbIB2zwk6E<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Eddie Zipperer (@EddieZipperer) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EddieZipperer\/status\/1529781088272502785?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 26, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Fifty-seven percent of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/20\/bidens-approval-rating-falls-26-hispanic-voters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hispanic voters<\/a>, 50% of black voters and 67% of white voters said Biden is too old.<\/p>\n<p>The poll was conducted online May 18-19, and surveyed 1,963 registered voters. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/25\/poll-gallup-83-percent-people-dissatisfied-america\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>(RELATED: <span class=\"il\">Poll<\/span>: More Than 8 Out 10 People Are Dissatisfied With State Of America)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A majority of voters are worried about an impending recession, with 36% believing the country is currently going through one and 49% predicting the U.S. will be in a recession next year. Only 16% said they think the U.S. can avoid a recession.<\/p>\n<p>The poll also indicated former President Donald Trump is the favored candidate for the 2024 presidential election among Republican and independent voters, sitting at 41%. Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is in second place at 12%. For Democrats, Biden is the number one candidate, at 23%, and Vice President Kamala Harris is in second place at nine percent.<\/p>\n<p>Trump, former Vice President Mike Pence and Independent Vermont Sen.
