Dorsey stepped down from his position as Twitter&#8217;s CEO in 2021 but remained on the board of directors, according to <i>TheStreet<\/i>. <\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/elon-musk-says-americans-need-to-celebrate-having-children\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ELON MUSK SAYS AMERICANS &#8216;NEED TO CELEBRATE&#8217; HAVING CHILDREN<\/a><\/b> <\/p>\n<div class=\"Enhancement\">\n<div class=\"Enhancement-item\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BREAKING: Jack Dorsey will leave Twitter&#8217;s board today<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 TheStreet (@TheStreet) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheStreet\/status\/1529512180512706560?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 25, 2022<\/a>\n             <\/p><\/blockquote><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Dorsey echoed Musk&#8217;s statement that he does not support permanent bans on the social media platform, noting the banning of former President Donald Trump&#8217;s account &#8220;shouldn&#8217;t have been&#8221; a &#8220;business decision.&#8221; Musk said he <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/musk-would-reverse-twitters-morally-bad-ban-of-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">would reverse<\/a> Trump&#8217;s ban from the platform, describing the ban as a &#8220;morally bad decision and foolish in the extreme&#8221; on May 10. <\/p>\n<p>The Tesla CEO struck a deal in April to purchase the platform for $44 billion, which <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/twitter-co-founder-jack-dorsey-expresses-trust-in-elon-musk-amid-takeover\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dorsey praised<\/a>, calling Musk the &#8220;singular solution I trust&#8221; to take the platform &#8220;back from Wall Street.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><\/b> <\/p>\n<p>Dorsey&#8217;s departure comes two weeks after two Twitter executives, Kayvon Beykpour, the general manager of consumer products, and Bruce Falck, the general manager of revenue, <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/technology\/two-top-twitter-executives-leave-amid-tumult-as-company-freezes-hiring\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">left the company<\/a>.
