Tim Scott\u2019s police reform bill.<\/p>\n<p>Biden signed an <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/25\/joe-biden-executive-order-police-reform-george-floyd-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">executive order<\/a> Wednesday aimed at reforming policing and criminal justice practices on the two-year anniversary of the murder of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/04\/judge-accepts-derek-chauvins-plea-deal-george-floyd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">George Floyd<\/a>. The order focuses on federal law enforcement groups and does not apply to local agencies. It failed in the Senate where our Republican colleagues opposed any meaningful reform.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/18\/elizabeth-warren-filibuster-racist-police-reform-tim-scott\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Elizabeth Warren Calls Filibuster Racist Months After Filibustering Tim Scott Police Reform Bill)\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Scott <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scott.senate.gov\/media-center\/in-the-news\/tim-scott-criticizes-democrats-for-george-floyd-bill-after-filibustering-his-police-reforms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">introduced<\/a> the JUSTICE Act which included incentives for banning chokeholds and giving grants for body cameras. Democrats filibustered the legislation before introducing their own piece of legislation, the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act.
