My doctor wants me to stay here for another day or two to get some rest before I get back to work. Anna is my hero for recognizing that something was wrong and insisting that I go to the hospital,\u201d Stein tweeted.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I\u2019m feeling back to normal now and am beyond blessed to have no lingering effects. He also thanked his family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have a tremendous amount to be thankful for this morning, especially my loving family,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JoshStein_\/status\/1529114551001702400?s=20&#038;t=qMpV9plQnIjV1Q9LLXk41A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">continued<\/a>. \u201cJust thinking of them makes my heart swell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stein is now the third Democratic official who has suffered from a stroke in May and the fourth in 2022. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/14\/ben-ray-lujan-new-mexico-democrat-senator-stroke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED:\u00a0Ben Ray Luj\u00e1n After Suffering Stroke: I\u2019ll Be Back \u2018In Just A Few Short Weeks\u2019)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Democratic Pennsylvania Senate nominee John Fetterman and Democratic Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen were hospitalized for strokes in May.<\/p>\n<p>Van Hollen delivered a speech in western Maryland when he began feeling <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ChrisVanHollen\/status\/1526027910783680513?s=20&#038;t=id3daDKTYRmeUBVDJ4tLrg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">lightheaded<\/a> and was taken to George Washington University Hospital. At the hospital, doctors <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/16\/democrat-senator-maryland-chris-van-hollen-stroke-speech-hospital\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">confirmed<\/a> Van Hollen had a stroke due to a venous tear he described as \u201csmall.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fetterman suffered a stroke while traveling to a campaign event in southeastern Pennsylvania with his wife. Fetterman underwent multiple procedures, including a thrombectomy to remove the clot.
