Amber Heard<\/a> to keep her role in the movie\u2019s upcoming sequel. <\/p>\n<p>Former producer and current entertainment industry consultant and expert Kathryn Arnold <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/05\/23\/johnny-depp-amber-heard-live-trial-coverage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">took the stand Monday<\/a> as Heard\u2019s witness during her ongoing trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp. She said Heard\u2019s red-wigged role was supposed to be her \u201cstar is born\u201d moment but claimed the actress was almost cut from \u201cAquaman 2\u201d because of <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/05\/23\/amber-heards-team-will-no-longer-call-johnny-depp-back-to-witness-stand\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">issues with Johnny Depp<\/a>, 58. <\/p>\n<p>Arnold further said the only reason Heard kept her job is because Momoa, 42, and director James Wan, 45, \u201ccommitted to her\u201d and were \u201cadamant\u201d she be in the film, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-10846859\/Amber-Heard-kept-role-Aquaman-2-Jason-Momoa-adamant-remain.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according to the Daily Mail.<\/a><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/05\/amber-heard-aquaman-99.jpg\"><\/a><figcaption>Amber Heard\u2019s role in \u201cAquaman 2\u201d was \u201cradically reduced\u201d \u201cdismissed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Arnold, who met with Heard before the testimony, said that Heard\u2019s character, Mera, was going to have a \u201cstrong romantic arc the entire film and some great href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/05\/20\/why-amber-heard-was-almost-fired-from-aquaman-2-agent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">agent, Jessica Kovacevic,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/05\/20\/why-amber-heard-was-almost-fired-from-aquaman-2-agent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said she was told<\/a> the role was nearly recast due to Heard\u2019s \u201clack of chemistry\u201d with Momoa but personally believed it had to do with her bad reputation.<\/p>\n<p>Arnold also said \u201cGame of Thrones\u201d actor Momoa was able to renegotiate his salary for the second movie up from around $3 million to $15 million.<\/p>\n<p>Heard was paid the same $2 million as stated in her first contact, Arnold said, adding that the troubled said of Heard\u2019s \u201cvery negative\u201d reputation. <\/p>\n<p>Arnold testified that, over five years, Heard could have made $4 million per movie, though it might have even topped that and reached up to $20 million. <\/p>\n<p>Heard\u2019s total estimated loss, Arnold claimed, was between $45 million and $50 million. <\/p>\n<p>Heard also would\u2019ve scored other million-dollar deals similar to her $1.5 million contract with L\u2019Oreal, Arnold added.<\/p>\n<p>Since the trial started, more than 4 million Depp fans <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/05\/17\/amber-heard-claims-warner-bros-cut-down-her-aquaman-2-role\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">have flocked to sign a petition<\/a> urging the
