It does not depict an actual attack on a Russian airfield.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Ukraine has extensively utilized drones during its conflict with Russia to target ground forces and identify artillery targets, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/davidaxe\/2022\/05\/23\/big-old-guns-tiny-new-drones-ukrainian-gunners-disrupt-regrouping-russians\/?sh=6ea3d3c655e2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Forbes<\/a>. Russia claims to have downed approximately 30 Ukrainian drones attempting to retake Snake Island, Russia-based outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/tass.com\/defense\/1449051?utm_source=google.com&#038;utm_medium=organic&#038;utm_campaign=google.com&#038;utm_referrer=google.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TASS<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook video, viewed more than 85,000 times, appears to show camera footage from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baykartech.com\/en\/uav\/bayraktar-tb2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bayraktar TB2<\/a> drone as it attacks a Russian airfield. \u201cOn Sunday, Bayraktar TB2 Drone bombed Russian Military Airfield with Jets &#038; Attack Helicopters,\u201d the post\u2019s caption states. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/104686772137755\/videos\/500854398451362\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Does This Video Show A Drone Destroying A Russian Column?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The footage is not genuine. A reverse image search revealed it is from <a href=\"https:\/\/arma3.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ARMA 3<\/a>, a military-style video game simulator created by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bohemia.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bohemia Interactive<\/a>. The video first appeared on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UC4hESZxYvuE_0fXTCna7GDw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">YouTube<\/a> May 9 where it was shared by user <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UC4hESZxYvuE_0fXTCna7GDw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Xadarov<\/a> with the same title.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>The YouTube video\u2019s description, however, includes a Disclaimer identifying the footage as being from the video game. \u201cTHIS IS ONLY SIMULATION, NOT REAL LIFE!\u201d reads part of the description. The YouTube channel has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GxlZNUtj-3Q\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">posted<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=sA2zmQl-rUk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">multiple<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=W8x6vu69Z4g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">videos<\/a> simulating drone attacks. All of the videos on the channel feature a Disclaimer that indicates the footage is from ARMA 3.<\/p>\n<div id=\"ob-read-more-selector\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>Clips from ARMA 3 have been misidentified as real war footage since the war in Ukraine began in February.
