Three years worth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUm, no, well, there are a lot of lies,\u201d Hostin said. \u201cBecause I think by tend of the term Donald Trump had accumulated 30,570 lies during his presidency, but I want to talk about the big lie. The stolen election. You write that Trump was more shocked about losing in 2020 than he was about winning in 2016, that he couldn\u2019t comprehend how he lost to Joe Biden. People around him lied to him and told him he won. Did you lie to him about winning?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNever,\u201d Conway said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCan you agree that he lost both the popular vote and Electoral College?\u201d Hostin asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s pretty obvious that Joe Biden is the president, I can\u2019t believe we\u2019re still talking about this, respectfully,\u201d Conway pushed back, and the co-hosts began talking over each other.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHold on. I write extensively in this book that I am the closest person to Donald Trump to tell him the earliest he came up short,\u201d Conway continued. \u201cIt broke my heart. I wanted him to get re-elected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Conway went on to suggest that Trump\u2019s campaign team had effectively wasted millions of dollars when she believed they should have been able to win reelection based on his policies and accomplishments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe should have won huge, he had all these accomplishments. He\u2019s running against a guy who\u2019s stuck in the basement, and you\u2019re in the middle of the pandemic \u2013\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The audience began to boo then, and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/it-doesnt-matter-what-you-think-whoopi-blows-up-at-conservative-guest-for-daring-to-ask-when-life-begins\/\">Goldberg interrupted<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet me \u2014 Let me do something before you say anything else,\u201d Goldberg said, turning to address the audience directly. \u201cListen, this is \u2018The View.\u2019 And this is her view and she\u2019s talking about how she feels and what she knows, please don\u2019t boo her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think they\u2019re booing Biden staying in the basement,\u201d Conway quipped with a smile.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy does he continue to lie about it then?\u201d Hostin asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Trump was told again and again by people in his campaign, \u2018You\u2019re going to win in a landslide,&#8217;\u201d Conway replied. \u201cAfter he was coming up short, they were saying \u2018there\u2019s a way we can do this.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Conway went on to note that what she had told him privately was not different than what she had said publicly \u2014 that until the election was certified on<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cThe View\u201d host Whoopi Goldberg interrupted the conversation to scold the audience for booing Kellyanne Conway, senior adviser to former President Donald Trump.
