Rowe said that to his both surprise and disappointment the shoot was canceled \u201cat the last minute\u201d when the GSA \u201csuddenly revoked our permit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just wanted to assure you guys that this decision had nothing to do with me, Discovery, or my production team,\u201d Rowe wrote. \u201cThis decision was made solely by the GSA, who oversees the location where you are currently working, and required us to apply for a permit months ago. Obviously, we did. The necessary permits were quickly issued, and we were assured several times over the last few months that everything was still good to go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen, just two days before I was scheduled to arrive, we received a phone call from a woman at the GSA who informed us that our permits were being revoked,\u201d he added. \u201cWhen we asked for an explanation, she said, \u2018security concerns.\u2019 When we asked her what kind of security concerns, she said she didn\u2019t know. She only told us that the decision had come down from \u2018the very highest levels within the GSA.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/mike-rowe-on-why-bringing-back-dirty-jobs-was-vital-many-of-these-jobs-you-can-make-six-figures\">TV host<\/a> did not specify the location of the scheduled shoot but posted pictures of what appeared to be M&#038;M Welding and Fabricators, the company his show had planned to feature in the episode. Rowe went on to reference other places where the show \u201chas filmed in many sensitive environments under government control,\u201d citing previous permits obtained from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and NASA, adding, \u201cWe even got a permit to film inside the National Security Agency!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s really going on here?\u201d Rowe asked in his post.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/dirty-jobs-host-mike-rowe-rolling-out-own-tennessee-whiskey-line-complete-with-memorable-sea-shanty\">Rowe<\/a> said his crew later received a call from someone he said \u201csounded credible\u201d who claimed the permit was revoked because of Rowe\u2019s viewpoints.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccording to this caller, someone at the highest levels of the GSA, \u2018doesn\u2019t like Mike Rowe\u2019s personal politics,\u2019 and used their power to deliberately string us along until the last possible second, for the express purpose of \u2018yanking my chain,&#8217;\u201d Rowe wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Rowe added that his \u201cpersonal politics are not a matter of public record, and Dirty Jobs has no political agenda whatsoever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, I do happen to have a hit show on Fox Business,\u201d Rowe wrote. \u201cIt\u2019s called How America Works, and not everybody is happy about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rowe admitted he can\u2019t say for sure if what the caller told him was accurate.<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Wire reached out to GSA for comment but did not immediately receive a response.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Television host Mike Rowe said that the General Services Administration (GSA) recently revoked his permit to shoot a new episode of \u201cDirty Jobs\u201d and wondered whether it was done for \u201cpolitical reasons\u201d or as an attempt to \u201cyank my chain,\u201d which he said the move failed to do.
