Heard has countersued for $100 million.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t call Mr. Depp an idiot, I called that planning an \u2018idiot,&#8217;\u201d Heard\u2019s expert\u00a0psychiatrist Dr. David Spiegel said on the stand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it was in the context \u2014 you probably should read the context,\u201d Dr. Spiegel told Depp\u2019s legal team, explaining his deposition. \u201cIf you\u2019re coming to some deposition \u2026 he took an overnight the night before [from Europe], and what I think I said was that, if you\u2019re going to do a major thing for a trial that you\u2019re involved with, I think you\u2019d be an idiot to come in the night before.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Depp\u2019s attorney shot back with the transcript. \u201cSo the words, \u2018So, I mean he\u2019s an idiot,\u2019 are mis-transcribed?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Spiegel argued the quote was missing \u201ccontext.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIs idiot a professional opinion?\u201d Depp\u2019s team pressed. \u201cWas it a psychiatric opinion?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The expert psychiatrist conceded it was not, but again referred to \u201ccontext.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vasquez and Depp both giggled and looked amazed during the exchange.<\/p>\n<p>WATCH:<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/JohnnyDepp?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#JohnnyDepp<\/a>\u2019s attorney questioned <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/AmberHeard?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#AmberHeard<\/a>&#8216;s expert psychiatrist on calling Depp an \u201cidiot.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LawCrimeNetwork?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@LawCrimeNetwork<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/a7i7UWK3tw\">pic.twitter.com\/a7i7UWK3tw<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Law&#038;Crime Network (@LawCrimeNetwork) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LawCrimeNetwork\/status\/1528800182871154689?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 23, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>During the same cross-examination, Dr. Spiegel oddly moves his mouth, licks his lips, and asks the judge if he has to answer a question from Depp\u2019s team. The judge, of course, tells Spiegel he does.<\/p>\n<p>The question was about Spiegel apparently admitting to reviewing Depp\u2019s acting in the \u201cPirates of the Caribbean\u201d franchise to help him make his expert analysis. Still, there are numerous anticipated witnesses expected to take the stand, including model Kate Moss, one of Depp\u2019s ex-girlfriends.<\/p>\n<p>Moss reportedly dated Depp from 1994 to 1997. She was not slated to testify in the case until after Heard mentioned Moss while testifying about an alleged incident in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Depp\u2019s team seems to clearly want Moss to be able to testify.
