The firm\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/nsba.org\/-\/media\/Files\/NSBA-Report.pdf?la=en&#038;hash=A001354D23C9AE88B54D398270C9790D91B01FF9\">independent review<\/a> showed that NSBA leadership went back and forth on a call for military intervention in certain cases.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One line \u2014 later deleted by then-interim CEO Chip Slaven \u2014 said: \u201cWe ask that the Army National Guard and its Military Police be deployed to certain school districts and related events where students and school personnel have been subjected to acts and threats of violence.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Slaven said on September 22 he initially \u201cwent back and forth\u201d on the decision to include the sentence, according to a comprehensive timeline of events included in the review. \u201cI think we should leave it out for now.
