Whitney confirmed on the stand last week that she lived with Howell for at least six months and referred to Howell as her \u201cchosen sister.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">\u201cCONFIRMED: Jennifer Howell will testify in <\/span><span class=\"r-18u37iz\"><a class=\"css-4rbku5 css-18t94o4 css-901oao css-16my406 r-1cvl2hr r-1loqt21 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\" role=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/JohnnyDepp?src=hashtag_click\">#JohnnyDepp<\/a><\/span><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">\u2019s rebuttal case next week and will dispute some of <\/span><span class=\"r-18u37iz\"><a class=\"css-4rbku5 css-18t94o4 css-901oao css-16my406 r-1cvl2hr r-1loqt21 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\" role=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/WhitneyHenriquez?src=hashtag_click\">#WhitneyHenriquez<\/a><\/span><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">\u2019s testimony, specifically about the \u2018staircase incident,&#8217;\u201d reported Court TV\u2019s legal correspondent\u00a0<\/span>Chanley Sh\u00e1 Painter.<\/p>\n<p>Whitney testified last week that Depp repeatedly smacked her sister Amber in the face during an alleged 2015 incident in the couple\u2019s penthouse.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe called her a \u2018used-up trash bag,\u2019 she called him \u2018old and fat,&#8217;\u201d Whitney <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/05\/18\/amber-heards-sister-says-johnny-depp-hit-her-during-blowout\/\">recalled<\/a> of the alleged incident. Then, Depp allegedly hit Whitney in the back, sparking Amber to \u201cland one\u201d on the actor, Whitney said. Howell disputes WH account <\/span><span class=\"r-18u37iz\"><a class=\"css-4rbku5 css-18t94o4 css-901oao css-16my406 r-1cvl2hr r-1loqt21 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\" role=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/AmberHeard?src=hashtag_click\">#AmberHeard<\/a>,\u201d she wrote, attaching an alleged declaration from Howell.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The alleged 2020 declaration posted by Levy included an account of the aftermath of the alleged 2015 \u201cstaircase\u201d incident.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/who-jennifer-howell-declaration-contradicts-amber-heards-testimony-johnny-depp-trial-1708085\">report<\/a> from Newsweek calls into question the authenticity of the declaration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlthough some versions of the document bear a Fairfax County Government letterhead, it has not been admitted as a piece of evidence in the trial,\u201d the report said. \u201cHeard\u2019s lawyers have argued that it was falsely procured and passed off as evidence to mislead the public. The document\u2019s claims have not been verified and the declaration has not been admitted as trial evidence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the alleged declaration, Howell said Whitney \u201cwas a mess\u201d when she arrived at her home.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhitney told me she tried to stop her sister Amber from hitting and attacking Johnny on the stairs,\u201d the document continued. \u201cWhitney said when she tried to intervene to stop Amber from going after Johnny, Amber nearly pushed Whitney down the stairs.
