The administration also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hhs.gov\/about\/news\/2021\/05\/10\/hhs-announces-prohibition-sex-discrimination-includes-discrimination-basis-sexual-orientation-gender-identity.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">announced<\/a> in May 2021 it would interpret Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to expand its protections against discrimination to include gender identity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause this Administration can\u2019t push its LGBT agenda through elected representatives in Congress, it\u2019s issuing lawless regulations that would require experimental transgender surgeries to be performed and paid for by insurance, including on minor children, in the name of non-discrimination,\u201d Roger Severino, former director of the Health and Human Services (HHS) Department\u2019s Office for Civil Rights, told TheDCNF. \u201cPresident Biden is certainly paying back his radical base, but making a mockery of our civil rights laws and hurting our kids in the process.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7423444\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7423444\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">U.S. Secretary of the Department Of Health And Human Services (HHS) Xavier Becerra testifies before a Senate Appropriations Subcommittee, on Capitol Hill, May 04, 2022 in Washington, DC. (Photo by Kevin Dietsch\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>By <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/17\/court-blocks-biden-mandate-sex-change-alliance-defending-freedom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">interpreting<\/a> the prohibition on sex-based discrimination in Section 1557 of the ACA to include gender identity, the administration has made it so healthcare providers can\u2019t treat patients who identify as transgender differently than other patients. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has used the policy to <a href=\"https:\/\/adfmedialegalfiles.blob.core.windows.net\/files\/ChristianEmployersAlliancePIorder.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">force<\/a> employers to pay for sex changes against their religious beliefs and to force healthcare providers to perform those procedures. \u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/17\/transgender-health-and-human-services-joe-biden-americans-oppose\/\">(RELATED: POLL: Americans Overwhelmingly Reject Biden\u2019s Stance On Sex Changes For Kids)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The policy creates conflicts for healthcare workers who believe sex change procedures are harmful, because they could face discrimination lawsuits for refusing to perform them, Severino and former Heritage Foundation senior research fellow Ryan Anderson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/health-care-reform\/report\/proposed-obamacare-gender-identity-mandate-threatens-freedom-conscience\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">explained<\/a> when former President Barack Obama initially proposed the gender mandate in 2016. Healthcare workers with religious or conscientious objections to transgender medical treatments face the same litigation threat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Biden administration has imposed an extreme rewriting of federal civil rights law to mandate bans on gender identity discrimination, and these bureaucratic requirements threaten the health and opportunities of women in areas as broad as sports, healthcare, housing and employment,\u201d Matt Bowman, senior counsel for the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), told TheDCNF. \u201cThe Biden administration has repeatedly refused to protect religious liberty from these infringements.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>District Judge Daniel Traynor <a href=\"https:\/\/adfmedialegalfiles.blob.core.windows.net\/files\/ChristianEmployersAlliancePIorder.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rebuked<\/a> Biden\u2019s use of civil rights law to force healthcare providers to perform sex change procedures in a court order blocking the Biden healthcare mandate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHHS Guidance encourages a parent to file a complaint if a medical provider refuses to gender transition their child, of any age, including an infant,\u201d he wrote. \u201cThe thought that a newborn child could be surgically altered to change gender is the result of the Biden HHS Notification and HHS Guidance that brands a medical professional\u2019s refusal to do so as discrimination.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7272057\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7272057\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7272057\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/GettyImages-1332533393-scaled-1.jpg\" alt=\"Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona answers questions during a briefing at the White House on Aug. 5. (Win McNamee\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Additionally, the Department of Education (DOE) under Biden is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reginfo.gov\/public\/do\/eAgendaViewRule?pubId=202110&#038;RIN=1870-AA16\">expected<\/a> to officially expand the definition of sex to include \u201cgender identity\u201d under Title IX. This would require every sex-separated women\u2019s space, including bathrooms and locker rooms, to accommodate males who identify as transgender women, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/13\/title-ix-biden-department-of-education-gender-identity-sexual-assault\/\">according<\/a> to Sarah Perry, a senior legal fellow for The Heritage Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The DOE\u00a0also provided expert training on transgenderism to school staff and helped teach schools to strategize and take action to support transgender and nonbinary children, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2022\/03\/31\/fact-sheet-biden-harris-administration-advances-equality-and-visibility-for-transgender-americans\/\">according<\/a> to a March 31 White House announcement.<\/p>\n<p>Biden has also pushed the transgender agenda through guidance to federal bureaucracies, who have begun disregarding sex in security screenings, making it easier to change one\u2019s sex in official paperwork and allowing individuals to decline to state their gender on official forms.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released guidance <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/31\/joe-biden-hhs-child-sex-changes-transgender\/\">promoting<\/a> sex change procedures for children and adolescents March 31 in a <a href=\"https:\/\/opa.hhs.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/2022-03\/gender-affirming-care-young-people-march-2022.pdf\">document<\/a> titled \u201cGender-Affirming Care and Young People.\u201d The guidance promoted puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, sex change surgeries and the practice of socially transitioning children to the opposite sex.<\/p>\n<p>The HHS also created a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hhs.gov\/programs\/topic-sites\/lgbtqi\/index.html\">website<\/a> announced March 31 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2022\/03\/31\/fact-sheet-biden-harris-administration-advances-equality-and-visibility-for-transgender-americans\/\">targeted<\/a> towards transgender youths which links to LGBT resources including HHS guidance promoting irreversible medical interventions for children and adolescents experiencing gender dysphoria.<\/p>\n<p>Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS\/status\/1509532210495254528?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1509532210495254528%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fdailycaller.com%2F2022%2F05%2F17%2Ftransgender-health-and-human-services-joe-biden-americans-oppose%2F\">voiced<\/a> unwavering support for \u201cgender affirming care\u201d for children, meaning social transitions and radical <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/06\/transgender-activism-pharmaceutical-studies-children\/\">biomedical interventions<\/a> rather than counseling to help children accept their bodies, in a March 31 statement.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">To transgender Americans of all ages, I want you to know that you are so brave. Such options were made available on social security paperwork, in federal financial aid for students and for White House visits and the White House proposed the 2023 budget include $10 million in funding to research how best to ask questions about gender identity and sexual orientation in the census.<\/p>\n<p>The TSA and the Department of Homeland Security <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/31\/tsa-dhs-biden-transgender-gender-neutral\/\">announced<\/a> March 31 that they would stop considering gender in their security processes and update their advanced imaging technology (AIT) at airport checkpoints with the help of $18.6 million from Congress.
