That\u2019s not something you should be ashamed of, it\u2019s not something you should, you know, you should run from or hide from. And so I think that\u2019s one of the things that\u2019s made Miami so unique,\u201d Suarez stated.<\/p>\n<p>The mayor added that if Musk moved Twitter to Miami, it would be \u201ca perfect sort of icing on the cake.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The interview doubled down on Suarez\u2019s original request to Musk earlier in May, as reported by The Los Angeles Times.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019d love to have Twitter here,\u201d Suarez <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/business\/story\/2022-05-06\/twitter-elon-musk-miami-mayor-suarez-tech-relocation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> during an interview at a Bloomberg Power Players event in Miami, according to the outlet. \u201cWe think what he is trying to accomplish with Twitter dovetails very nicely with the brand of the city of Miami.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During a recent Fox Business interview, the mayor also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/shows\/mornings-with-maria\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> that his city represents a place of freedom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think what the predominant sort of message is: Miami is a place of freedom, a place where people fled oppression,\u201d Saurez stated.<\/p>\n<p>Florida Republican Gov.
