John Simmons, <a href=\"https:\/\/house.mo.gov\/Bill.aspx?bill=HB2079&#038;year=2022&#038;code=R\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">passed<\/a> in the House 97-47 and in the Senate 23-11. If Republican Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/31\/missouri-ends-state-emergency-coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mike Parson<\/a> signs the bill, new restrictions will be placed on of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/18\/tpusa-missouri-school-attack\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Missouri<\/a> election officials preventing them from spending or receiving \u201cprivate moneys (sic), excluding in-kind donations, for preparing, administering, or conducting an election, including registering voters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL) spent $6.8 million on Missouri\u2019s election process, <a href=\"https:\/\/capitalresearch.org\/article\/which-states-did-ctcl-flood-with-zuck-bucks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to the Capital Research Center. CTCL <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techandciviclife.org\/100m\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">received<\/a> hundreds of millions of dollars in funding from <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/12\/zuckerberg-election-donations-midterms-2020-backlash\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zuckerberg<\/a> and his wife Priscilla Chan in the same year \u201cto promote safe and reliable voting.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">BREAKING REPORT: Missouri Senate Passes Election Integrity Bill \u2014 BANS DROP BOXES, Ballot Harvesting and \u2018Zuckerbucks\u2019 \u2013 Requires PHOTO ID for Voting\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Chuck Callesto (@ChuckCallesto) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ChuckCallesto\/status\/1524004509160247296?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 10, 2022<\/a> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>CTCL used the \u201cZuckbucks\u201d primarily in likely Democratic districts in Missouri and other states, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/10\/13\/mark-zuckerberg-spent-419m-on-nonprofits-ahead-of-2020-election-and-got-out-the-dem-vote\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to the New York Post. The CTCL\u2019s expenditures helped these districts hire more poll workers and increased the amount of unmonitored private drop boxes, while demanding universal mail-in voting be promoted.<\/p>\n<p>If signed into law, the bill would prevent groups such as the CTCL from funding local election offices. However, the bill states that in even-numbered years when state funds that proportionately counties are less than those a prior even-numbered year, then the Missouri secretary of state can receive private money \u201cto disburse to counties based on the amount of registered voters in each county.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/01\/09\/pelosi-accuses-republicans-undermining-democracy-election-integrity-laws\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Pelosi Accuses Republicans Of \u2018Undermining Democracy\u2019 Over Election Integrity Laws)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Any private money the Missouri secretary of state receives will not be greater than the amount the county received from the state in the previous even-numbered year and the pending year \u201cplus ten percent of the total amount that was appropriated in the previous even-numbered year,\u201d the bill continues.<\/p>\n<p>HB 1878 would also forbid absentee ballots being submitted via drop box and the executive authorization of mail-in ballots.<\/p>\n<p>Meta, CTCL, and Rep.
