The United States and European countries have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voanews.com\/a\/us-seeks-authority-to-give-seized-russian-assets-to-ukraine-\/6550026.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">seized<\/a> and frozen billions of dollars in Russian elites&#8217; assets, including real estate, boats, and helicopters.<\/p>\n<p>Insulating Chinese officials from sanctions would protect the regime from blowback should it invade Taiwan.
