Discovery media company will reportedly be meeting with famed author JK Rowling to discuss producing new Harry Potter content for the streaming platform HBO Max.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>People familiar with the matter told the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/amp\/articles\/warner-bros-discovery-david-zaslav-11652822285\">Wall Street Journal<\/a><\/em> that David Zaslav plans to meet with the controversial author in the coming weeks regarding the subject. Warner Bros. made all seven of the wizarding franchise\u2019s movies.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\"><\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>HBO Max, where this new content is proposed to appear, had premiered the 20th anniversary of the first Harry Potter movie, <em>Harry Potter and the Sorcerer\u2019s Stone<\/em>. Rowling was notably excluded from this <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/jk-rowling-excluded-harry-potter-reunion\">anniversary special<\/a>, only appearing in archived footage from the creation of the first movie.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>Rowling has been at the center of numerous controversies over the years due to her stance regarding biological men in women\u2019s spaces and transgender people.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>The author has been <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/jk-rowling-speaks-out-after-trans-activists-dox-her\">doxxed<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/jk-rowling-fends-off-more-threats-from-misogynist-trans-activists\">attacked<\/a> on social media, and <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/quidditch-pursues-name-change-jk-rowling\">cancelled<\/a> by those that previously loved her <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/new-zealand-festival-cancels-inclusion-of-annual-harry-potter-quiz-based-on-rowling-transphobia-charges\">works<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>In one recently published <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/new-book-by-trans-activist-fantasizes-about-jk-rowlings-death\">book<\/a>, an author fantasized about killing Rowling, with the story centering around three transgender individuals.
